One last time:(

Our last night at THQMA was a blast! Jax showed up ready to rip from the drop of the visor gaining 4 spots from the tail in his Honda heat race. Next up, his first ever laps in an animal, a car he had never sat in until yesterday and a class he had never run. Started 3rd and came out like he had driven it forever!
Made it up to 2nd with the help of a spin on the last lap. But none the less, he was competitive and learning from the jump!

Features were same story different day with the Honda! Dad had the car good enough to not be good enough! Car had a ton of speed and handled well in his line, but wasn’t quite good enough to allow him carry speed when making a pass. Ended up spinning one of his buddies from third and had to go to the back and battled a ton of yellows and ended up yet again one spot off the podium!
In the animal our plan was him get laps and learn for Shorey, he had different ideas! Started 2nd fell to 3rd on the start. He learned that the crossovers in the animal are a lot more fun. Got up to 2nd and after 25 green flag laps he was able to keep the track and regional champ within arms length! And turning the unofficial fastest lap of the race!!

Super proud of this kid! Wish his dad was a little better and gave him a chance! But now we prep
For our final quarter midget race at the shorey shootout on Halloween!

Jax will be racing for the last time here at THQMA this Saturday! He will be running in a new class as well! Come on out and cheer him on one final time!

Hudson made the call to call it a career today, and give up his seat and let Jax race two classes the rest of the season. So we figured we would recap his season!

8 feature wins! (1 regional and a national)
13 heat wins
1 flip
1 broken wall
297 mental break downs
2 times putting his gloves on without help!
Countless smiles and memories made

Racing just was never Hudson’s passion, but he always gave it everything he had! Our first clue should have been when he came off the track after winning a regional and had no clue who had won!

He’s looking forward being as feral as possible and just hanging out with his buddies at our last few trips to the track!

We knew this time would come at some point, but didn’t see it coming quite this soon. Our drivers have made the decision that we are going to stepping away from quarter midgets:(

We will be running just one more time at THQMA and shorey shootout. Then hanging up the steering wheels.

This has been an amazing 3 years! We have met countless amazing people, made lifelong friends and created memories that mean more then any of trophies and checkered flags!

We want to thank everyone that has helped our kids in any way shape or form! So many people have taken time out of their lives to help our boys and we will forever be thankful!

Come on out one last time and cheer these dudes on as they go for broke at THQMA one last time!

Up and down weekend for the Douglass brothers!!

Both boys forgot the goal of pill draw is to pull a low number! They have both been relieved of their pill drawing duties and replaced by miss Cora who pulled awesome numbers for our good friends!

Jax started 6th and enjoyed the view of everyone’s back bumpers on his Saturday cruise. Finished dead last and putting him last in the B-main. However, he woke up, and the B-MAIN BANDIT came ready to race Jax made an awesome 4 wide move that ended with a 50-50 grind of the huggy pole, and wheeled from 8th to 3rd to transfer to the A! Started 9th and finished 7th on a locked down fast track that saw zero cautions and almost no passing! Overall a great showing but we have to eliminate the small mental mistakes to compete with the talent in this junior class!

Hudson and his buddy Tanner like always put on a show in their heat, with Tanner taking the win and Hudson a close second! In the feature Hudson got tangled up a couple times and some more contact throughout. He impressed me, he didn’t give in and kept battling, from back to 2nd then ended up falling to 3rd. These blue rookie races have been so much fun to watch the last month or so! Boys just battle and keep learning and pushing each other, then turn around and play the rest of the day together! So much fun to watch!

Finally getting back to our home track today! Hudson is saying it’s been like 30 years since we raced! So might as well bring home some hardware and party like it’s 1999!

Come out 3pm, watch our boys sling some dirt!!
