Presley received the chain after back to back games with Westside Diamonds 9u. We came up short in the first game 8-12 and a tough second game loss 1-11. We finished 1-2 on the day. For our first 9U tournament and the first time these girls have played together, they all played with heart and gave great effort. We will work to get better and be ready for our tournament soon! Thank you to coaches, parents, sponsors, and anyone who has helped us along the way! We will see you all at the next one😊

Our girls played a great first game of the tournament. We came out with a win 9-7.

Covington Sting 9U Hold Onto Victory As Outkast Wolfe 9U Almost Erase 6-Run Deficit

Covington Sting 9U built a 6-run lead in the second inning and then held off Outkast Wolfe 9U's charge for a 9-7 victory on Saturday. Outkast Wolfe 9U closed the gap by scoring on a ground out, a walk, and a walk.

Outkast Wolfe 9U got on the board in the top of the first inning after Outkast Wolfe 9U scored on a passed ball, and Brenlyn C walked, each scoring one run.

Covington Sting 9U flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring six runs on three hits to take the lead, 6-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Reagan M that drove in one.

Covington Sting 9U extended their early lead with three runs in the bottom of the second thanks to RBI singles by Grace M and Evelyn M.

Reagan earned the win for Covington Sting 9U. The hurler allowed one hit and seven runs (four earned) over three innings, striking out seven and walking eight. Jolee S stepped in the circle first for Outkast Wolfe 9U. The starter surrendered eight hits and nine runs over two innings, striking out one and walking four.

Covington Sting 9U tallied eight hits in the game. Evelyn drove the middle of the lineup, leading Covington Sting 9U with two runs batted in. The infielder went 1-for-1 on the day. Presley M set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading Covington Sting 9U with two hits in two at bats. Maggie H stole two bases.

Jolee led Outkast Wolfe 9U with one hit in two at bats. Outkast Wolfe 9U had a strong eye at the plate, collecting eight walks for the game. Brenlyn and Maya K led the team with two walks each. Maya stole two bases. Outkast Wolfe 9U were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Brooklynn W made the most plays with three.

Covington Sting 9U is heading to Terre Haute Saturday for the Summer Send Off Tournament! We have been working very hard getting ready to put our team on the field for the first time together. We can’t wait to watch our girls compete for some hardware this weekend
