🚨 Stage 11 🚨
La Vuelta | Aug 22nd-Sept 13 ⬇️

A perfectly executed plan from Team Visma | Lease a Bike ended with another victory for 21-year-old sprinter Matthew Brennan in Stage 11 of the Vuelta a España 2026.

It was the strongest sprinter from the strongest team, with a perfect lead-out from Belgian star Wout van Aert.

Brennan also won Stage 2 and Stage 5 at this year’s edition of La Vuelta, his first Grand Tour appearance.

Norway's Andreas Leknessund broke clear of the front group to take a memorable mountain victory on stage seven of the Vuelta a España.

His countryman and Uno-X Mobility teammate Tobias Halland Johannessen completed a Norway one-two, with both riders wearing black armbands to commemorate the death of Norway's King Harald, which was announced early this morning.

Wout van Aert (Visma-Lease a Bike), who had attempted to chase Leknessund down having been out front with him for the entire stage, was third.
