Power is the ability to generate force through the hips and core, then transfer it efficiently to the arms and legs.

That's what makes an athlete sprint faster, jump higher, throw harder, and move more explosively.

One of the best tools for teaching this is the kettlebell swing.

The swing develops powerful hip extension while forcing the athlete to stabilize through the trunk and transfer force through the entire body. It's not an arm exercise, it's a full-body power exercise.

The same qualities that improve athletic performance also improve everyday life. Picking up a child, carrying groceries, moving furniture, or getting up off the floor all require force to be generated and transferred through the body.

That's what Raylee is working on here during our Summer Sport Performance Camp.

Building strength is good. Learning to express that strength is even better.

Jaymee is taking home a gift certificate to Vidalia’s as a reward for her consistency and commitment to her health and fitness.

What is the Peak Committed Club?

Each month, members who attend 12 sessions or more earn a spot in the Committed Club and are automatically entered into a drawing for a gift card to a local business. It’s our way of recognizing the people who continue to show up, put in the work, and make their health a priority.

A quick reminder to all members:

Day 1 of Peak Summer Camp ✅

What a way to kick things off.

Today wasn't about max weights, fancy drills, or perfect scores. It was about showing up, getting moving, learning, and setting the tone for the next four weeks.

From squats and push-ups to rows and planks, our athletes got their first taste of what Peak Summer Camp is all about: building strength, speed, confidence, and resilience.

What I love most about camps like this isn't the workouts. It's watching kids challenge themselves, encourage each other, and realize they're capable of more than they thought.

Some of these athletes are preparing for fall sports. Some just want to get stronger and healthier. Others are here to have fun with friends. Every one of those reasons is a good one.

Over the next month, we'll focus on:
✔️ Strength
✔️ Speed
✔️ Coordination
✔️ Confidence
✔️ Work ethic
✔️ Having a whole lot of fun

The goal isn't to create better athletes.

The goal is to create stronger, healthier, more confident kids who carry these lessons into everything they do.

Big congrats to Kynli Scrapper, the winner of April’s Peak Committed Club drawing! 👏

Kynli took home a gift certificate to Vidalia's for consistently showing up and putting in the work.

At Peak, the Committed Club is our way of rewarding consistency. Members who attend 12 sessions or more each month are automatically entered into a drawing for a gift card to a local business. Because real progress doesn’t come from random motivation, it comes from consistently showing up.

There are moments as parents and coaches that are hard to put into words. Watching Lakyn continue to chase excellence on the track has been one of them.

This season, she added FOUR new school records and qualified for the Oklahoma State Track Meet in all four events. We couldn’t be more proud of the work, discipline, and resilience she’s shown day after day.

But no athlete accomplishes things like this alone.

Congratulations to all of the Tahlequah Track athletes who have put in the reps, the miles, the hard workouts, and represented Tahlequah with pride this season. The amount of talent, grit, and heart in this program is special to watch.

And a huge congratulations to the Tahlequah Track coaching staff for the time, energy, and leadership you pour into these athletes every single day. Programs don’t build themselves. Great coaches create great environments, and it’s obvious the standard is high.

We’re grateful to play a small role in helping support these athletes at Peak Health & Performance.

Now it’s time to go compete at State. 🐅

School may be out for summer… but movement, confidence, fitness, and healthy habits shouldn’t be.

Peak’s Summer Fitness & Performance Camp is back for Summer 2026.

This 4-week camp is designed for kids and young athletes who want to improve athleticism, strength, speed, conditioning, coordination, and confidence in a fun, encouraging environment led by experienced coaches.

Whether your child plays sports or simply needs a positive, active outlet this summer, this camp is built to help them move better, work hard, and have fun doing it.

💥 Monday–Thursday
💥 Elementary (Grades 2–5): 3:00–3:45 PM
💥 Middle & High School: 4:00–5:00 PM

Tomorrow at Peak 🏋️♂️

We’re hosting a special Olympic Weightlifting class with Rosa Guardiola this Saturday, February 14 at 10:00 AM.

Olympic lifting isn’t just about heavy weight. It’s about precision, timing, coordination, and developing real power. When taught correctly, it’s one of the best ways to improve athleticism, strength, and confidence under the bar.

Whether you’ve never touched a barbell for Olympic lifts or you want to refine your technique, this session will focus on fundamentals, quality movement, and proper coaching.
