What happens when young people are given a stage, a story, and the belief that they can do something extraordinary?
You get Steps to Higher Ground.

This performance is the culmination of months of hard work, courage, and growth. Through dance and the music of Stevie Wonder, our students tell stories about belonging, kindness, resilience, and finding the strength to keep moving forward.

Some of these dancers are stepping onto a stage for the very first time. Others are discovering new confidence in themselves with every rehearsal.

We hope you’ll join us—not just to watch a show, but to witness young people rising.

When we launched our ballet barre and mirror fundraiser, our dancers got to work — creating a little skit to bring the campaign to life. Our community showed up fast and the Tacoma Black Fund came through with a generous donation that exceeded our goal, and we are still grateful.

We still wanted to share the skit, because honestly? They worked hard on it and it deserves to be seen.

If you want to keep supporting what's being built here at Mo' Motion, you still can. Every dollar goes toward dancer scholarships, production costumes, and future community programs. The link is in the bio. 💚💛
