This isn’t a purely autistic trait but it’s very common amongst the community. It never even crosses my mind that someone would need other music when they have a new song they haven’t learned every beat, breath, lyrical inflection, and rhythm change to until it no longer registers to your brain as music.

The balance is more important than the cue itself for this one, but it’s generally: step the horse out over the outside hind leg, hold up the inside and ask with the new outside leg with similar pressure you would use for a walk to canter transition. Now if your horse doesn’t know the changes yet that’s a whole different beast and a longer, more technical process. Happy changing!
