☀️ HOW DO YOU START YOUR DAY? ☀️
What thoughts come first? What words are spoken? What movements shape your day? What do you listen to or read?
If you wake up saying:
😩 “I’m exhausted.”
😩 “My life is stressful.”
😩 “Nothing ever works out for me.”
Guess what?
Your brain starts collecting evidence for MORE OF IT.
Thoughts shape words. “Take every thought captive…”
Words matter.
Not because they’re magical.
Because they’re directional.
The words you speak are constantly training your brain on what to look for. (RAS)
In the past……
When I’d make a mistake, I’d say:
“I’m such an idiot.”
When I’d fall short of a goal:
“I suck.”
When I’d say something wrong:
“I’m a liar.”
But none of those things were true.
I was speaking temporary circumstances as permanent identities.
And I would NEVER allow someone to talk to my husband, my daughters, or my friends that way.
So why was I talking to myself that way?
The truth is…
You talk to yourself more than anyone else on the planet.
So be intentional.
Speak life.
Speak hope.
Speak abundance.
Speak possibility.
Not because every day is perfect or you’re perfect. But because your words help determine how you show up when life is LIFE-ing.
