Today wasn’t about miles or pace. It was about remembrance.
🇺🇸💛🇺🇸🖤
Thank you to every gym member, family member, and friend who showed up to ruck alongside us in honor of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Before we stepped off, Kevin shared the story of First Sergeant Tobias Corbin Meister, who served alongside him during their deployment to Afghanistan. Tobias was deeply respected by Kevin and the Marines around him — a decorated soldier, leader, and former Golden Gloves boxing champion who was killed in action in 2005 when an IED detonated during a combat patrol in Afghanistan.

These stories are not always easy to tell or easy to hear, but they matter. Speaking their names and sharing their stories is one way we keep their memory alive.

We carried a massive flag together — heavy, awkward, and far easier to carry when shared from shoulder to shoulder. It became a reminder that burdens are meant to be shared, and that remembrance is a responsibility we carry together.
🫶
Grateful for this community and the purpose we shared today. We will continue to say their names.

400 sessions strong 💪

✨An absolute OG of the gym and officially the member with the most accumulated sessions since we opened our doors. One of the toughest people in the room — pull-ups, powerlifting meets, weighted vest stair sessions, textbook-perfect barbell squats, and big box jumps — she’s always ready for the work and never backs down from a challenge with the crew!

👏At 55, she continues to prove that age is just a number while raising the standard for what strength, consistency, and fitness can look like. More importantly, she’s the kind of teammate everyone wants beside them — supportive, humble, hardworking, and always helping push others to be better.

We’re lucky to have you Danielle!
Congrats on 400 !👏

Memorial Day isn’t just a long weekend —
it’s a time to remember.
🇺🇸💛🇺🇸
Join us Monday, May 25 for a Memorial Day ruck as we come together to honor those who gave everything.

🕥 9:30 AM start (approx. 1 hour)
📍 Begins at The Underground

We’ll walk the familiar route across the Lift Bridge into Wisconsin and back, finishing at the Veterans Memorial -1 block from the gym on Pine Street.

This is a family-friendly event — bring your kids, your friends, and anyone who wants to be part of it!

Along the way, we’ll take turns carrying an even bigger American flag than our Veterans Day ruck — built by our own Captain Graving. It’s big enough that we’ll need to hand it off throughout and work together as a team to move it up the hill and back.🇺🇸💪🏼

If you’d like to make it more challenging, wear a weight vest or carry a pack — but all that’s required is showing up.

We’ll move together, reflect together, and remember together.❤️

All are welcome.

⏳ There’s a difference between a push season and a real-life season—and both matter.

Some phases are built for pushing—getting stronger, moving faster, feeling really good in your workouts. Progress feels obvious and it’s easy to measure.

But other seasons are quieter. They’re about fitting workouts in between work, kids’ schedules, practices, and everything else life throws at you.

The mistake is looking backward—comparing where you are today to a version of yourself that had more time, more energy, or fewer responsibilities.

That comparison doesn’t help—it just takes away from the work you’re doing right now.

We can’t be everything at once!🙂‍↔️

🙋🏻‍♀️Right now, I’m probably closest to my strongest—but I’m not my leanest, fastest, or most conditioned—and definitely not my most balanced when it comes to making time for myself—but I’m still proud of how I’m showing up.

This season just has a different purpose.

Different season. Different purpose. Same commitment. 💪

Progress isn’t always bigger lifts or faster times.

Sometimes it’s getting the workout in after a long day, choosing to show up when it would be easier not to, and staying consistent through the chaos.

👊 Give yourself credit for being in the arena—juggling a lot, doing hard things, and still choosing to take care of yourself.

That’s what builds strength, resilience, and longevity.

✨ Respect the season you’re in. It’s building something, even if it doesn’t look like your past best right now.

This morning’s Pelvic Floor 101 + Hip Mobility Seminar with Dr. Lexi was 🔥

We dove into what it really means to optimize pelvic floor function as female athletes — not just for postpartum or rehab, but for lifting heavier, running faster, bracing better, and staying strong for the long haul.

Dr. Lexi broke down:
• How the pelvic floor actually functions (and why it matters more than we think)
• How breathing + bracing directly impact strength and performance
• Signs your body might need more support — or better coordination
• Practical tools we can apply immediately — both inside AND outside the gym

And one of the biggest lightbulb moments 💡
The critical connection between hip mobility and pelvic floor function.

Your hips and pelvic floor don’t operate separately — they work as a team. When hip mobility is limited, the pelvic floor often has to compensate. When the hips move well, the pelvic floor can contract and relax more effectively. Better mobility = better coordination = better performance.

We didn’t just sit and listen — we moved.
We practiced new hip mobility warm-ups, smart activation drills, and intentional breathing strategies. We asked questions. We had honest conversations. And yes… we laughed a little too — because learning about your pelvic floor with a room full of women will do that 😉

The best part? A room full of women leaning in, investing in understanding their bodies on a deeper level, and supporting each other in the process. Knowledge is power — and women who understand their bodies train differently.

Cheers to strong women and a great morning learning (and laughing) together 💪✨

If you were there, what was your biggest takeaway???
