Kentucky Auctioneers Association The Kentucky Auctioneers Association, founded in 1957 The Kentucky Auctioneers Association, Inc. was formed in 1957 by a handful of dedicated auctioneers.

The purpose of the KAA was and still remains to promote and advance the auction profession and to foster and encourage a spirit of cooperation and mutual aid and respect among persons engaged in the auction profession. The KAA aims to protect the interests of the members in all matters of legislation, to help, aid and assist at all times in improving the auction profession by technical training, instruction, apprenticeship and exchanges of ideas and practices.

Russell began his auctioneer and Real Estate career in 1995 under the instruction of longtime Auctioneer Bud Greenup after attending Missouri Auctioneer School and Western KY University Real Estate training. Russell is licensed in KY, TN, IN & AL. He is a member of Professional Associates such as the South Central Ky Association of Realtors, National Auctioneer Association, Kentucky Auctioneer Association, Tennessee Auctioneer Association, National Association of Realtors, Kentucky Association of Realtors, and the Scottsville Allen County Chamber of Commerce. Russell has also won numerous awards for auction advertising over the past several years. Russell is the 2014 Kentucky Auctioneer of the Year. He has also served as President of the Kentucky Auctioneers Association & the Vice President of local Habitat for Humanity. Russell has conducted several successful auctions throughout KY and TN for numerous Estates, Individuals, Government Agencies and Lending Institutions such as; State of KY, City of Scottsville, Allen County, Allen County Sheriffs Dept., KY Dept. of Fish & Wildlife, Allen Co. Board of Education, KY Dept. of Parks and Recreation, Farm Credit Services, Farmers National Bank, and South Central Bank. Russell also dedicates part of his time to conduct auctions for charities and organizations.
