Captain Andrew Aus is the owner of Maverick Charters. More than thirty five years ago, at the age of 19 Captain Chris started Maverick Charters to provide clients with a great day on the Bay. Since then he has built Maverick Charters into the premier charter fishing boat on the bay. Captain Chris is known as one of the best fishermen to ever fish the bay. Priding him self on always putting clients

on the fish no matter what it takes. In the summer of 2004 Andrew Aus began working as First Mate with Captain Chris. Andrew recieved his Captains License during the winter of 2009. Captain Andrew Aus is now the full time captain of Maverick Charters and taking everything that Captain Chris has taught him he will continue the Maverick tradition. Captain Andrew prides himself as being one of the hardest working captains on the bay and will do whatever it takes to provide clients with an enjoyable and successful fishing trip on the chesapeake bay. We fish year round targeting Rockfish (Striped Bass), Bluefish, Drum, White Perch, Spot, Spanish Mackrel and other fish that swim the waters of the Chesapeake Bay. Different tactics to catch these fish are used throughout the year including trolling, live lining, chumming and bottom fishing.
