📣 SCHOLARSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT!

Steamboat Dance Theatre’s 2nd Position Summer Scholarship Round 3 application window is open June 1-15.

Open to Routt County Residents ages 3-17 who are seeking financial assistance for Routt County regional summer (August) dance camps and classes!

This is the final application round for summer funding.

Round 1: CLOSED April 1-15
Round 2: CLOSED May 1- 15
Round 3: June 1-15 (for August classes/workshops/camps)

Maximum scholarship funds per individual: $450 for the entire summer (in reference to 2nd position scholarships only). Maximum scholarship funds per family is $800 for the entire summer (in reference to 2nd position scholarships only)

Our last senior spotlight is ✨Ailie Strong ✨ I plan on attending the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, with a major in fashion business management and a minor in Spanish!
Growing up at Elevation, it was always the most supporting and loving environment, which was entirely because of the faculty. They have all taught me endless amounts about dance as well as life. I LOVE YOU ALL!
One of my favorite memories is before every show when we all stand in our “squeeze circle”, hold hands, and take a moment to connect before the show begins.
After graduation I cannot wait to come back and see all the littles and teachers, and take class again.

Costume Dress-Up Week - May 18-22
PLEASE Wear costumes to class this week. EDS Staff will be taking class pictures this week as well!

This is also the last week of classes for the season. All rehearsals after the 22ND will take place at the SSHS

Be sure all parts and pieces of costumes are LABELED with your child’s name. We recommend using a ziplock bag LABELED with your child’s name to hold any extra pieces as needed.
Please have your child wear their hair as specified in the list published in the spring
Dancers should also wear their shoes or tights as specified on the Shoes and Tights list
All ballet costumes purchases included a pair of tights (limited to 1 pair per dancer). These came with your costume. The NEW pair should be saved for the week of the shows.
If you need an extra pair of tights, please be sure to purchase in advance.

We WILL be taking a group photo of each class during the Costume Dress Up Week and will upload those images to a shared google folder. Please be sure to have your dancer IN COSTUME with hair and makeup for the pictures.
IF POSSIBLE, PLEASE have your dancer arrive to class IN THEIR COSTUME!

My plans after graduation are to take a few classes at Steamboat CMC and to teach hip hop at Elevation Dance Studio, which I am very excited about.

Elevation has shaped me into the person I am today and has helped me develop a true love for dance. Dance has always been something that brings me peace and happiness.

One of my favorite memories is traveling to Denver for competitions, where I was able to spend time with my friends and experience a variety of dance styles.

What I am most excited about after graduation is discovering what life has to offer and exploring new opportunities.

I would like to thank my friends, family, and teachers for their constant support and for helping shape me into who I am today.
