Thank You, Steamboat!

What a wonderful night at our Hello Summer Dance Party! A huge thank you to everyone who came out to dance, laugh, connect, and help us celebrate Steamboat Swings’ first birthday.

One year ago, we set out to build community through the joy of social dancing. Seeing the dance floor filled with new faces, longtime friends, line dancers, West Coast Swing dancers, and everyone in between reminds us just how special this community has become.

Thank you to all of our volunteers, instructors, board members, and dancers who have helped make this first year such a success. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Here’s to another year of lessons, parties, workshops, friendships, and great nights on the dance floor. We can’t wait to see where the next year takes us!

Steamboat Swings is turning ONE YEAR OLD!

One year ago we set out with a simple goal: build community through the joy of social dancing. Since then we’ve shared so many amazing nights together — lessons, library dances, workshops, studio parties, laughter, new friendships, and a whole lot of dancing. 💃🕺

This Friday’s Hello Summer Dance Party at the Library is our chance to celebrate all of it — and we’d love for you to come dance with us!

Ready to try something new this summer? Our beginner-friendly 8-week Intro to West Coast Swing series is a fun, social way to get moving, meet people, and learn one of the most versatile partner dances around. Danced to everything from pop and blues to country and contemporary music, West Coast Swing is all about connection, creativity, and having a great time on the dance floor.

You’ll learn the core patterns, timing, and partner connection skills needed to feel comfortable social dancing — all in a welcoming, low-pressure environment. No partner or experience needed!

Time: Thursdays 6-7 pm (June/July starting 6/4 through 7/30 with no class on July 2nd)
Location: 1955 Bridge Ln #1900
Cost: $45 for month ($80 for complete 2 month course)

THIS Saturday, May 16th come celebrate 16 years of community barn dances at the Historic Hayden Granary and over 100 years of community dances in Hayden, Basic line dance instruction will kick off the evening at 6:30pm to bring a little boot scootin' electric slide kind of joy into your life. We hope to see you there. All ages welcome, suggested donation of $10/adult, $5/youth (12 & under) helps the Historic Hayden Granary keep this fun community event going.

Our next Intro to West Coast Swing Beginner Series starts April 6th, and it’s the perfect way to learn one of the most fun and versatile partner dances out there!

Over 8 weekly classes, you’ll learn the fundamentals of West Coast Swing in a friendly, supportive environment where beginners are always welcome. By the end of the series, you’ll have the skills and confidence to actually get out on the dance floor and dance.

Join us for a special pre-Valentine’s Day celebration at the Bud Werner Memorial Library on Friday, February 13, from 6–10 pm! Whether you bring a partner or come solo, this is the perfect way to kick off the holiday with movement, music, and great company.

🎉 Make it a Dance-Filled Valentine’s Weekend! 💃🕺

Join us Friday, Feb 13th for a Library Dance Party featuring a special West Coast Swing intro lesson from All-Star instructor Terra Summers — plus a fun line dance and social dancing all night with a great mix of WCS, country, waltz, Latin and more!

Then on Saturday, Feb 14th, Terra is teaching a full morning of workshops at the Steamboat Springs Community Center:
