For most members, working 275 hours during a qualifying quarter provides coverage for a future three-month coverage quarter.

Hours worked in June, July and August determine your eligibility for coverage in October, November and December.

Keeping track of your qualifying hours can help you understand where your coverage stands and plan ahead.

September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month.

Laborers look out for each other on the job, and that should include looking out for each other's mental health.

If a brother or sister seems different, is pulling away from others, or just doesn't seem like themselves, take a minute to check in. Ask how they're doing and, most importantly, listen. A simple conversation can make a difference.

Working outside the St. Louis area? Make sure your benefits follow you.

If you're a Local 42 or 110 member working under another participating Laborers' fund, a Transfer Authorization can allow your Welfare and Pension contributions to be transferred back to the St. Louis Laborers' Funds.

The form is available online at stllaborers.com/forms and can be returned to the Benefit Office by mail, fax, or email.
