🚨Commitment Announcement!🚨 Congratulations to Finley Rose McGowan (John Burroughs – Class of 2028) on her commitment to Indiana University!

A dedicated member of Gateway since 2018, Finley has developed into one of the top players in the Class of 2028. Through years of dedication and development, she has represented Gateway on both the regional and national stage.

At John Burroughs, Finley made an immediate impact as a sophomore, earning one of just three starting positions among underclassmen on a state championship team. Playing forward and mid, she finished with 11 goals and 11 assists, including three GWG, while earning All-Metro League Honorable Mention honors. Burroughs was also ranked among the Top 20 high school teams nationally by MAX Field Hockey. Most recently Finley was selected to attend the Nexus National Championship in the U18 division. She has also been recognized as a Gryphon/Longstreth Ambassador.

A highly intelligent and composed player, Finley’s field hockey IQ and ability to read the game allow her to make smart decisions under pressure. Her distribution and vision help connect play and create opportunities. A relentless worker and highly coachable teammate, Finley is always willing to learn, compete, and do whatever her team needs to succeed. She brings a joy to any team with a smile on her face.

Beyond field hockey, Finley is a dedicated multi-sport athlete, competing in tennis and swimming. She competed with a USTA Junior Team that reached the District Championships and earned her club’s Most Coachable Player award. She has also qualified for conference competition in swimming for eight consecutive years with the Missouri Athletic Club. Off the field, Finley has dedicated more than 790 hours to volunteer service through National Charity League and served as Grade Level President, Treasurer, and on multiple philanthropy committees.

Indiana University competes at the NCAA Division I level as a member of the Big Ten Conference.

Congratulations, Finley! We are incredibly proud of all you have accomplished and can’t wait to watch you continue your academic and athletic journey at IU!

A huge shoutout to Teddy Bl**er and Axel Martin as they compete this week at the Junior Olympic Games in Iowa!

Both Teddy and Axel are proud members of our Gateway U10 Elite club team, play multiple sports, and we couldn’t be more excited to cheer them on. Best of luck, we’re all rooting for you both!

🚨Commitment Announcement🚨Congratulations to Emily Williams (Lafayette High School – Class of 2028) on her commitment to Quinnipiac University!

A Gateway athlete since third grade, Emily has developed into one of the top players in the Class of 2028 through years of dedication, leadership, and hard work. She has consistently competed at a high level while representing Gateway with outstanding character and determination.

At Lafayette High School, Emily has established herself as one of Missouri’s top players. As a sophomore, she served as varsity captain while finishing with the fourth-highest point total in the state. She earned Suburban Yellow Conference Offensive Player of the Year, First Team All-Conference, Second Team All-Metro, Team MVP, and was recognized as a St. Louis Post-Dispatch Metro STL Top 25 Player to Watch and a Metro Sports STL Field Hockey Phenom. Additionally Emily attended the National Nexus Championship this summer!

A versatile player who can excel in multiple positions, Emily combines exceptional athleticism, composure, defensive instincts, and speed with an unmatched work ethic. Her willingness to do whatever her team needs has made her an invaluable teammate and leader!

Beyond field hockey, Emily is also a standout track and field athlete. She is a two-time All-State performer, holds Lafayette’s school record in the 400 meters, is part of the school-record 4x400 relay, serves as track captain, and has earned First Team All-Conference honors. She has also earned Scholar Athlete recognition every semester, Academic All-State honors, and Student of the Quarter.

Quinnipiac University competes at the NCAA Division I level, and we couldn’t be more excited to watch Emily continue her academic and athletic career.

Congratulations, Emily! We are so proud of you, and we can’t wait to see all you’ll accomplish as a Bobcat! 💙🏑

A super fun Wednesday at camp! Our high school athletes played full field games to prepare for HS tryouts while our K-8th graders competed in the Gateway skills competition, giant bowling and some individual comps!

We can’t wait to finish our tournament play tomorrow at our last day of camp. See you all tomorrow 8:30-11am!

🚨Commitment Announcement!🚨Congratulations to Mimi Tabscott (Ladue Horton Watkins High School – Class of 2027) on her commitment to Rhodes College!

A member of Gateway since 2020, Mimi has developed into one of the top goalkeepers in the Class of 2027. Through years of dedication, she has elevated her game while representing Gateway in both regional and national competition at Festival, Disney, RCC and NCC!

At Ladue High School, Mimi had a standout Junior season, she earned All-Conference Honorable Mention honors while helping lead Ladue to a regional championship and an Elite Eight appearance. Recording 11 shutouts, building on an outstanding sophomore campaign in which she posted 10 shutouts and helped lead the Rams to another Elite Eight appearance. A goalkeeper with quick reflexes and outstanding communication, Mimi reads the game exceptionally well, commands the circle with confidence, and makes crucial saves in high-pressure situations. 

Beyond the field, Mimi has distinguished herself as a leader within her school community. As one of the founders of Morgan’s Message chapter at Ladue, organizing Dedication Games and promoting student-athlete mental health awareness. A four-year member of Student Council, she currently serves as Student Body Vice President and is also a member of the Leadership Council. Her dedication to service, leadership, and supporting others reflects the character she brings to all aspects.

Rhodes College competes at the NCAA Division III level as a member of the Collegiate Field Hockey Conference (CFHC). Congratulations, Mimi! 🚨Commitment Announcement!🚨 Congratulations to Caroline Campbell (Westminster Christian Academy – Class of 2027) on her commitment to Middlebury College!

A dedicated member of Gateway since 2014, Caroline has developed into one of the top players in the Class of 2027. She has represented Gateway Red at national tournaments since 2019, competing against the nation’s top clubs. Her accomplishments include selections to the U16 and U18 USA Field Hockey Nexus Championships, the AAU Junior Olympics, and recognition by MAX Field Hockey as both a Top 150 and Top 100 player Watch List in her class.

At Westminster Christian Academy, Caroline has been a four-year varsity starter and two-time team captain, establishing herself as one of St. Louis’ top players. She has been recognized as a St. Louis Metro Top Player to Watch, earned spots on the TFHA High School Midwest & West Watchlist and NFHCA High School Watchlist, and received Metro League First Team All-Conference and St. Louis Post-Dispatch Second Team All-Metro honors in each of the past two seasons.

A poised and dependable midfielder, Caroline’s high field hockey IQ, composure, and skillset allow her to impact every phase of the game. Her vision, decision-making, and ability to connect play make her a constant presence in midfield, while her leadership and commitment to improvement have made her an invaluable teammate and respected competitor.

Beyond field hockey, Caroline is a standout multi-sport athlete who will serve as captain of her varsity lacrosse team after earning her team’s Coach’s Award last season. She is also an NFHCA National Academic Squad of Distinction honoree and an active member of FCA reflecting her commitment to excellence both on and off the field.

Middlebury College has won seven National Championships and competes at the NCAA Division III level in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC), the nation’s premier Division III conferences.

☀️ Summer Camp Fun! ☀️ This week, more than 30 Gateway girls in 5th–8th grade traveled to Lake Forest, just outside of Chicago, for a fun filled overnight summer camp!

From staying in the dorms and building new friendships to making memories on and off the field, camp was full of fun, laughter, and team bonding. We love seeing our athletes take advantage of opportunities to grow their skills, build confidence, and connect with teammates at camps across the country each summer!

We can’t wait to see all they accomplish this fall!
