A 16-2 win in their first game has these ladies moving on to the next round! The game is starting at 1:00pm vs the New England Falcon 12u White team so come down to Slayter Street and cheer them on if you’re around!

After battling the elements, and some very stiff competition all day long, our resilient 12u Lightning team is on to championship Sunday.

Please come out and support these ladies as they look to go on a run to the finals for their second tournament in a row!

Their first game of the day is:

11:00 vs Westwood Wolverines 12u

Webster is in the process of determining whether or not they will be able to play games today. The 1:00 start is not possible at this point. If they can push it back, it would look like a 2:30 start with the rest of the games happening at 4:15 and 6pm. If the logistics cannot be squared away, it will be shifted to a round robin tournament to be played tomorrow.

We’ve managed to make it through another week, and the reward is we get to see some of our favorite softball players in action!

To that end, please join us on Saturday when our Central Mass Lightning 12u team will be playing at the Wrath Spring Invitational 2026 Tournament in Webster!

Our intrepid ladies Saturday schedule is:

TBD vs New England Falcons 12u White

And

TBD vs South Shore Patriots 12u

With the forecast looking a little shaky, Webster has notified teams that they will update everyone in the morning should there be rain. But don’t worry about that because we’ve put in our order for good weather tomorrow, so come down to Webster and show this team your support!

Good luck 12u, we know you’ll give your best effort!

Next up for Central Mass Lightning is the 14u Gragen team kicking off their summer tournament schedule at the 11th Annual Home Runs for Heros Memorial Day Invitational in Taunton.

On Saturday, the first year 14u team plays:

9:00AM vs the Bedford Bolts

10:45AM vs South Shore Patriots 14u Red

1:45PM vs Mass Attack 14u Navy

If you’ve got some free time this holiday weekend, come on down and root these ladies on!

All games are at the Taunton Girls Softball Complex, 500 Norton Ave, Taunton, MA

Huge congratulations to Selina Piehl from our 14U Blue team on hitting her very first over-the-fence high school home run last night! 💣🥎

Selina went yard during the Bay Path vs. Doherty Memorial High School game at Worcester State University, and what an incredible moment it was!

An unforgettable moment under the lights and such a special accomplishment for Selina and her teammates to celebrate together. The excitement, energy, and pride from everyone there made it even more memorable. Congratulations, Selina — so well deserved! 💙 🥎⚡️

Congratulations to our own Central Mass Lightning 12u team for getting to the finals of the USA Softball Mass State Tournament! You ladies showed resilience after a tough Saturday versus some very good competition. You didn’t give up and you went on a tremendous run to get to the championship game! While I’m sure you all wanted to win one more game today, we couldn’t be more proud of the effort and heart you showed.

Central Mass Lightning is incredibly excited about the talent, effort, and teamwork we saw out there. These players have been putting in the work, and it’s already showing. We can’t wait to see how they grow and what they accomplish this season.
