STRONG BODIES. STRONG MINDS. STRONG FUTURES 💪

This summer will be hosting a Teen Strength & Conditioning Camp with Dr. Morgan! Our athletes have been asking for a teen camp for some time now - we are so excited to offer these sessions this summer!

Morgan is a former division II field hockey player and track and field athlete. 🏃‍♀️🏑 Camp will be hosted inside of Timberhead CrossFit.

This camp is all about building confidence, improving athletic performance, and learning proper strength training techniques in a safe and supportive environment!

🚨NEW COACH ALERT!🚨

We are SO EXCITED to announce that Dr. Jules has joined our coaching team! 🤩 She’s bringing ALL the energy and passion to her classes - check them out at 9:30 on Tuesdays and Fridays!

Get to know her a bit below 👇

How long have you been doing CrossFit? “About a year and a half - I started when I joined as a new PT with The Athlete’s PT!”

Go-to hype song before a workout? “Go to Town by Doja Cat” (also her pre-test song all through Grad school).

What do you love most about coaching? “Getting to interact with and get to know the gym members! We have some of the coolest people here!”

Burpees or wallballs? 😈 “Wallballs 100%”

Favorite way to spend a rest day? “Hanging with the pups!”

What would you say to someone nervous to walk into the gym? “Everyone starts somewhere. Even as someone who has always worked out and been active, I was terrified to try CrossFit. I was immediately welcomed in and made to feel so comfortable. So - we will meet you where you’re at, and we’re glad you’re here!”

What’s a random fun fact about you that has nothing to do with fitness? “I love DIY projects and fixing things. My boyfriend and I joke and say I have “Barb the builder” mode when something needs done.” 💪

JUNE MEMBER OF THE MONTH ☀️

Say hi to our June Member of the Month, Brandon!

Brandon has been with us for about three years now - he joined us right after the start of his CrossFit career. He had been going to commercial gyms before, but felt like it was a bit aimless which prompted him to try CrossFit for the first time. Today, his favorite workouts consist of heavy lifting; especially deadlifts. 🤩

For his 9-5, Brandon is a Supplier Quality Engineer with Pratt & Whitney. In his free time, he volunteers to mentor the South Windsor robotics team. 🤖 He also enjoys the occasional camping trip with friends.

💥 Fun fact: Brandon and Jess met on a total whim in college. His roommate was walking out the door but stopped to invite him to a Halloween party. Having nothing else going on he went, dressed as a lumberjack, ran into Jess at the party, and the rest is history. 🫶🏼
