💦 It’s Water Safety Month! 💦
🚫 Why we don’t recommend puddle jumpers, water wings, or arm floaties:
These types of flotation devices can teach kids to stay in a vertical (upright) position in the water instead of learning to float and swim horizontally. They can also create a false sense of safety for both children and adults, which may delay close supervision and real skill development in the water.
Here are a few simple ways to help keep kids safer around water this summer:
👀 Stay within arm’s reach of your child at all times in or near water
👁️ Keep your eyes on them constantly — even strong swimmers need active supervision
🦺 If needed, use a U.S. Coast Guard–certified life jacket that fits properly instead
🏊‍♀️ Stay consistent with swim lessons to build real skills, confidence, and progress over time
💬 Ask your swim instructor for a quick mini lesson or practice idea you can do at home or during swim time
Because real water safety is built through attention, skills, and consistency — not just equipment. 💙

Here are a few important water safety facts to kick things off:
💧 More children ages 1–4 die from drowning than any other cause of unintentional injury
💧 Most drownings happen quickly and quietly—often in as little as 20–60 seconds
💧 Lack of close, constant supervision is one of the biggest risk factors for drowning
Water safety doesn’t have to be scary—it can be empowering, fun, and part of every pool day!

Looking for the perfect way to introduce your little one to the water? Our Parent & Tot Class is designed for bonding, comfort, and early water safety 💙
