🏁 2026 SEASON WRAP-UP | WEBER PERFORMANCE GROUP #17 🏁

Well, that's a wrap on the 2026 racing season!

Was it the season we hoped for? Absolutely not. But was it a season we learned from? You better believe it!

This year tested us in just about every way possible. From chasing bugs and mechanical issues to fighting steering problems and everything else that could possibly go wrong, it seemed like every time we took one step forward, something knocked us two steps back.

But one thing this team NEVER did was give up.

We kept digging, kept turning wrenches, and kept showing up. Finally, at our last race of the season, the Bettenhausen 100, we got to turn some TRUE laps for the first time and finally got a glimpse of what this car is capable of. It may have taken all season to get there, but we ended the year with something we hadn't had much of — confidence in our race car!

Now the #17 is officially in full hibernation mode! 💤🏎️

We're already looking ahead to 2027, and we're excited about what's coming. Some new tracks, some new faces, a little more traveling, and hopefully a whole lot more consistency! We've got a lot of work to do this winter, but the foundation is there, and we're ready to build on everything this season taught us.

None of this would be possible without the people who stood behind us through the good, the bad, and the downright frustrating.

2026 was about learning. 2027 is about putting those lessons to work.

The struggles, the late nights, the frustration, and the setbacks are all part of building something worth being proud of.

We're not done. We're just getting started. 💪🏁

PRACTICE IS OVER — THE #17 IS DIALED IN AND WE’RE READY TO RACE. 🏁🔥

BOIIII… WE GOT A RACE CAR! The car ran GREAT today, we turned everything we needed to turn, and we’re rolling into tomorrow ready to get down to business.

The #17 Weber Performance Group Super Late Model is headed to Grundy County Speedway today! 🔥
After all the work, adjustments, headaches, and late nights, it’s time to put some laps down and get this thing dialed in. We’re using every minute today to get ready for what’s ahead. 💪

The excitement is building and it’s looking like a promising weekend for the #17 Weber Performance Group Super Late Model!

We’ve got just TWO races left in our 2026 season, and we’re looking to finish this thing STRONG! 🏁

🌧️ MOTHER NATURE WINS THIS ROUND.

Unfortunately, the 65th Annual Bettenhausen Memorial has been rained out this weekend and postponed to Sunday, September 27th.

Not the news we wanted, but the Weber Performance Group #17 is READY. 🔥

One more week to stay hungry, stay focused, and make sure this thing is dialed in.

This weekend's 65th annual Bettenhausen Memorial weekend will see racing tonight but is postponing the Saturday portion of the program to next weekend.
With an undesirable forecast Saturday (including the Sunday rain date), Grundy County Speedway, along with the Midwest Tour and Mid-Am Racing Series has made the decision to postpone the Saturday portion of the weekend to next Sunday, September 27th with an afternoon program. There will be an open practice on Saturday, September 26th from Noon to 5pm. The full schedule for the 27th will be available soon.

Tonight's racing program is still on, featuring 5 divisions of racing including the Big 8 Late Model Series.

We’ve fought the bugs all season. We’ve put in the hours. The car is ready, the ambition is there, and so are we.

🔥 YOU’VE BEEN WAITING… AND WE’VE BEEN FIGHTING. 🔥

It’s been a little quiet from the Weber Performance Group camp, but trust us — we haven’t stopped working.

This summer has thrown just about everything it could at the #17 Super Late Model. We’ve fought through the bugs, the mechanical issues, the long nights, and the growing pains of a new car. But every time it knocked us down, we went back to the shop, learned something, and kept digging.

And now… we think we may finally have this thing RIGHT. 👀🔥

There couldn’t be a better time to find out.

What a night at Grundy County Speedway.

The heat wasn't the only thing we were battling.

Right out of practice we started having power steering issues, blowing fluid everywhere under the hood. It cut our practice short, which led to a disappointing qualifying effort, putting the #17 Weber Performance Group Super 15th on the grid.

Feature 1: We started 15th but only made it about a quarter of the race before the power steering leak got bad enough that we had to pull it in. The pump was done, and it was spraying fluid all over the engine compartment.

Between features we made the decision to clean the pump out, leave it empty, and just start and park the second feature to get through the night.

Well... once the green flag dropped, that plan went right out the window.

We stayed with the pack, picked off a couple of cars, and figured we'd already come this far—we might as well finish. Fifty laps later, with no power steering, we crossed the line 11th.

It was exhausting. It was hot. It wasn't the result we wanted, but this team never quit. Every week we're learning, fixing problems, and getting this new car closer to where we know it can be. The speed is coming—it's just baby steps, and we're headed in the right direction.
