Pics of TEAM CHALLENGE and some individual racing. From New Jersey Motorsports Park. Some great shots from this past weekend from a great person and sponsor. Rob and Tosha Lackey from Bison Leathers. Best leathers around and great teammates and company to boot. We finished 5th in Light Weight team challenge Billy Pedro, Yandell Rob and myself. 69 laps or 2 hrs it went as smooth as smooth can go. Lots of tough racing and a challenging track on top of that. I finished 6th in F40 after a wheelie and a bad start off the grid. Caught the 2nd half of the pack pretty quickly with my new set up. Im very grateful for all my sponsors for their continued support.

Summit Point TC race report.

First of all we had a bunch of good practices on Saturday and Sunday. We practiced with the new dump can for fuel stops, it worked well.We had some good times in practice after not being there a couple yrs. But it didn't take long and it was running smooth. We encountered a bad fork seal and a bit of a rough patch in the fork itself. We sent it off to the suspension got it all fixed up and boom, good to go. The bike was all dialed in and riding on rails. For a SV650 it moves pretty good.. So Saturday we had a guy named Derek Frye. Blow his engine and he was ready to pack it up Mr. Pedro decided to ask of he wanted to hop on and ride with us. He very much obliged. He ran first practice on Saturday morning with an unfamiliar bike. I think he was having a little fun.because he was riding like hed been on the bike already several times. Oh and he's never ran GP shift before either. I think he's converted lol. Derek looked really comfortable and gave some feed back and back out for a rider exchange between him and I. Very clean and quick. Good job now wait for the race to start. It got moves up a 1/2 hr. As if there wasn't enough to worry about with 88° weather and 78% humidity with clouds cooling the track in periodic spots where we really needed a nice hot surface.

We went out and started the race with a little wheelie action. 2 laps in i see the dreaded meatball flag thought they were pointing it at me. Glad they weren't though. 14 laps in and i am going into turn 5, I almost high sided loosing the shift rod as it bent down and busted, grabbing a handful of break I got it through the grass back on the track and into the pits. We got it fixed after running around looking for a spare. We went about 15 laps down some of the other Lightweight teams had problems too but not like we did. This is where Derek Frye stepped in and took off and buzzed the track with some even better lap times than in practice. At this point he's rocking pretty good. He comes in after about 15-20 laps. He gives us some really good front and rear tire feedback. Yup we toasted it. At this point we are just trying to make the full 31 laps that was left in this 2.5 hr endurance race. We finished in 4th, we were not satisfied with our results but we could have been going home. All 3 of us never gave up and were extremely resilient. I was totally happy yo have Derek a part of our team. Hes about as humble as they come..

My good friend Dorsey Birch . & Speedy were looking for some help. We are all family in the pits so we try to scramble to help speedy to get his bike fixed before his next race. We find the issue and get it back together before he decided to throw in the towel for the weekend.
We all went out to eat with the beautiful Mrs. Tanya DJ's aunt. DJ, Chris, his girlfriend and Billy. All of them are great people to be associated with.

Friday i got a huge surprise up at the Summit Point main office. They called me and told me to come get a special package sent to me from a great friend and and even better sponsor. Scott Diamond. From Moto-D sent me a fresh pair of pro forma boots and
Moto-D woody wood pucks. To match my Stellar suit from Robert & Tosha Lackey from Bison Leathers. I cant thank you guys enough for all you guys do for us. This is what keeps this sport alive. I want to say thank you to all my other sponsors as well.

Well this weekend had ups and downs. First the downs.
Billy Pedro 's SV seems down on power. 15 min before the big race we had problems with spurts of power, like we were starving for fuel. Took the fuel pump basket off and cleaned it. Boom ready just in time. We did well in team challenge until i went down in turn 6 at blackhawk because of rain, i was on slicks for about 3.5 laps before myself and like 4-5 others had gone down around the track in various places. Belly pan missing, right bar "clip on" bent way up. Mind you that's the gas and front brake, pushed into front cowel. Missing a right side brake and a right side rear set "foot peg". Let alone i am trying to get the bike around 4 right handed turns to get back to hot pits to try and fix it. Than they call a rain race after about 6-7 min of consistent rain. If i go in to get rains before they call a rain race we may have lost laps. So i stayed out and took a digger. We ended up fixing it while they called a rain race. We had about 10 min to fix the bike and put rains on. Got it all ductaped up and zip tied. Lots of fricken zip ties were used.. We got back to it fell about 3 laps down, but we reclaimed those laps and got back in the grove. At the same time our 2nd bike we had in the TC was on slicks until we fixed the B bike. Shawn Hill, huge thanks for sucking it up as long as you did on slicks in pouring rain. Came in changed to rain tires. Pushed him back to the pits he over shot his pit by about 200 feet. He got back oit there and finished as we rushed he fell several laps down and got back out there and started rocking the FZ07. He was on rails. Both bikes finished in the top 5. We could not have done it with out the huge help from Bruce Barry , Gerald Terrell , Larenz Howard , Aaron Vassar vasser by our side busting but to get us back in the game to finish. I applaud Bruce for coming over while racing against us to help us back out. Great sportsmanship from a gentleman that loves the sport. That's what racing is all about. Helping one another. Its an awesome feeling being part of such a great organization. I can't say thank you enough to all that helped make this possible. As for a couple other races Billy finished 3rd on sunday as i finished 1st in my race and a 6th in the second one. We have alot to work on before the next race at Summit Point in WV. I have alot of work on the R6 to have it ready to rip it up in 3 weeks at Blackhawk round 3 of the CCS round. In round 1 i low sided in turn 4 at Autobahn Country Club in my last race. Flipped the bike several times. Time for a yard sale as we call it. So i have to work out some bugs and get her rolling once again. Thank you to everyone for continued support.
