⧴ Course Rules
Please help us keep you and the rest of the 3,000+ Gobble runners and walkers safe on race day by respecting these rules of the road.
#1: Faster runners start up front, slower runners / walkers start towards the back
Trust us... this makes the race go more smoothly for everyone. If you're not sure (or you're pushing a stroller), start towards the back. Your personal race time doesn't start until you cross the timing mat at the start line, so no worries there.
We will have pace corrals at the front for 8 min / mile pace and faster and at the back for strollers and walkers. Please look for these signs at the start and position yourself accordingly.
#2: Kiddos are welcome to run/walk, but they've got to be registered
Kids who are old enough to walk or run 4 miles on their own two feet are welcome to run, as long as you have registered them for the race. We have great perks for kids again this year, like kid-sized shirts and fun turkey finisher medals for kids 12 and under.
You're welcome to walk or run with a stroller (kids in strollers do not need to be separately registered), we just ask that you line up at the back of the pack for safety reasons and don't plan on breaking any speed records. Slow, steady and safe, please!
#3: Running with doggos is a no-no β
Please don't run with your dog on race day, even though we're sure that he or she is a very good boy (or girl). This is a very basic safety requirement for a race of this size. Any race participant spotted running/walking with a dog will be removed from the course and disqualified.
#4: Good vibes only π
Have fun out there... It's going to be a great day! Enjoy the turkey costumes, the cute kiddos, the runners and walkers of all ages out there getting a healthy start to Thanksgiving. Make sure to thank the friendly volunteers who make this race possible and to summon patience when patience is required.
Over a hundred volunteers come together every year to make the Gobble possible so we can raise tens of thousands of dollars to support local charities and so YOU can enjoy this race! You've gotta admit, that's pretty rad!
See you very soon!
Yours truly,
The Gobble Race Committee
