I am working on a little project for myself. I wanted a nicer hatchet for camping. The one I wanted was $200+. So, I decided to do my thing. I purchased a hatchet from Harbor Freight for $12.99. I removed the handle, normalized the steel (softened it) and modified its shape to how I wanted it.

I think it is turning out great!
