Honcho Baseball is keeping a strong presence at the World Series in Pensacola, advancing to bracket play after grabbing the 4th seed in the tournament when pool play concluded yesterday. We started off bracket play today going 1-1. We are set to line it up again tomorrow at 9:45 for a shot to make the very short list of teams that compete on Sunday for at shot at the finals.

Ollie Bowlan and Josiah Gibbs, won their skill competitions , winning a premium Rawlings glove.

Day 1 of pool play in the books at the World Series in Pensacola.

We put away a good Kentucky team 14-3 and then gave one away to a good team from Miami 5-4.

Looking forward to our last pool game tomorrow against Repa Tribe from Texas.

Highlights--
Our stud short stop, Ollie Bowlan, won the Road Runner competition of the tournament, out running all other competitors and winning himself a brand new Rawlings glove!

Josiah Gibbs- our Catcher/Pitcher and RBI king, tied for 1st in the Golden Arm competition and is in the running for a Rawlings glove or new Hype Fire bat!

Waylon VanZant- our Catcher/Pitcher/2nd/3rd/Short/Outfield and least but not last, our QB1, hit himself a Grand Slam!!

So proud of these dudes!!!!

We came up short this weekend, just barely missing the finals. It was also our first loss in 14 games! Very proud of this group. We did get notified on Sunday afternoon that our time in AA ball is done. Time to move up to AAA! It was a goal for this group and they ran through it! Not much more they could prove, they did love seeing those Power Rankings at the State and National level!
Back to Tulsa this weekend and to dip our toes in our first 11U Open tournament. Let's get it!!

Giant Medals Champions in Jenks, OK!

Another great weekend for Honcho Baseball this past weekend. We went 5-0, scoring 52 runs and only allowing 7 for tournament.

Heading back to MWC for another big bracket, 4GG tournament this coming weekend.

Another great weekend of baseball in the books. We went 5-0 over the weekend, winning the Turf Madness USSSA tournament in Tahlequah, OK, having to play 3, back-to-back games on Sunday. The boy were tired, especially during the start of that championship game. Getting down 3-1, when my man Cole Simpson stepped up to the plate with a runner on and hits his 2nd monster out of the park homer of the day to tie up the game and give us the lift we needed to finish strong and move ahead for the 6-3 championship win. Total team effort all weekend long. Super proud of these boys!
Moving on to Jenks next weekend for another big 18 team tournament. Let's get it!!

Finished 2nd this past weekend at the Tussle on the Turf tournament in Midwest City, to our friends from Byng in a great final. Proud of the effort and intensity all around.

We are hitting the road and heading to Tahlequah, OK this weekend for another great weekend of baseball!
