Our season came to a close this afternoon in Pensacola, Florida in the 11U USSSA World Series. In typical fashion, these boys wanted to make it hard on themselves, dropping their first game in bracket play and then proceeded to grind through the losers bracket and coming up short in the last inning of the championship. Played a total of 8 games this week and were in every game till the end.
It was less then a month ago we made the decision to move these boys up to 11U and boy did they rise to the occasion. Playing a total of 18 games at 11U over the course of three tourneys.
The boys finished 41-19-1 overall and have grown accustomed to 2nd place rings. Although the boys despise those 2nd place finishes, as coaches all we can ask is to be there at the end and give yourself a chance. The wins will take care of themselves in the end when you handle your business the right way.
We appreciate all the support and commitment from all of our families this season. As we have continued to challenge these boys, this has required more miles on the road, more hotels rooms, and countless hours at the ballfields. These boys and this team would not be where we are without the support from our Mojo Blue families.
