‼️MEMBER SPOTLIGHT‼️
Everyone meet Lilly. This girl has worked extremly hard to get back to healthy after her surgeries. Lets give her a BIG congrats. Here's what she has to say about her gym journey so far.
"On December 15, 2025, I tore my ACL while playing basketball, and just one week later, on December 22, I had my first surgery. I thought I knew what recovery would look like, but it was much harder than I ever imagined. Physically, I was in a lot of pain, and mentally, I wasn’t in a good place. My recovery didn’t go the way it was supposed to, and I struggled to get my strength and confidence back. There were times I wondered if I would ever be able to walk, run, or feel like myself again.
On May 18,2026, I had my second surgery, and I made a decision that everything was going to be different. I changed my mindset completely. Instead of focusing on what I had lost, I started focusing on what I could gain. I promised myself that I would do everything I could to get back to the life I loved. I wanted to walk normally again, run again, and become stronger than I was before my injury.
One of the biggest blessings in my recovery has been this gym. From the moment I started coming here, I found more than just a place to work out, I found a place that helped me believe in myself again. Having access to all of the equipment I needed allowed me to safely rebuild my strength, improve my mobility, and push myself a little further every day. Every workout became another step toward my goal.
What has made this gym so special isn’t just the equipment, it’s the people. Everyone has been so welcoming, encouraging, and supportive throughout my journey. Whether it was a smile, a conversation, or words of encouragement, those little moments made a big difference on the days when recovery felt overwhelming. This gym became a place where I looked forward to coming because I knew I was getting stronger every single time I walked through the doors.
I also couldn’t have done this without my dad. Not only was he there for me through both surgeries and every setback, but he spent countless hours beside me in the gym, encouraging me, pushing me, and celebrating every bit of progress with me. On the days I wanted to quit, he reminded me why I started and never let me give up. Having someone who believed in me every step of the way made all the difference.
My faith has also carried me through this journey. There were so many days when I felt discouraged, but I know Jesus gave me the strength to keep going when I didn’t think I could. He reminded me that every setback had a purpose and that I wasn’t facing this battle alone.
One of the greatest moments of my recovery was recently completing my first run since my injury. It wasn’t just a run, it was proof that all the hard work, long days, prayers, and hours spent in this gym were worth it. Every lift, every stretch, and every workout helped make that moment possible.
I’m so thankful to be part of a gym that feels like family. This place has helped me recover physically, grow mentally, and regain the confidence I thought I had lost. My journey isn’t over, but I know I’m stronger because of the support I’ve found here. I’ll always be grateful for this gym, for my dad who never stopped believing in me, and for God’s faithfulness through every step of my recovery."
