30 Years Ago — A Travers to Remember 🏆

As we celebrate Travers Day at Saratoga, we’re looking back on a moment that will forever be a part of Bond Racing history.

Thirty years ago, in 1996, Will’s Way gave Jim Bond his Travers victory, battling down the Saratoga stretch to defeat Louis Quatorze and Skip Away and capture the Grade 1 Travers Stakes with Jorge Chavez aboard.

Will’s Way was a special horse from the very beginning, and his Travers victory remains one of the proudest moments in our stable’s history.

Three decades later, there’s still nothing quite like Travers Day in Saratoga — and we’re grateful to have our own place in the history of the Midsummer Derby. 🎪

Here’s to 30 years of memories, and to making many more. 💙

Whitney Day always brings back some pretty special memories. 🩷

Throwing it back to Tizway and Jim’s 2011 Whitney win — 14 years after Jim captured his first Whitney with Will’s Way in 1997. Two incredible horses and two Saratoga moments we’ll never forget. 🏆🐎

Last night, we had the privilege of opening our home at Song Hill Thoroughbreds to our Bond Racing family for our annual Partnership Party and Yearling Show. 💙

One of our favorite nights of the year, this evening gives us the chance to step away from the day-to-day, spend time together, introduce our newest yearlings, and celebrate the people who make Bond Racing possible.

To our incredible partners—thank you for believing in our vision, sharing in the highs and lows of this sport, and trusting us with your horses. Your support and enthusiasm allow us to do what we love every single day, and we are so grateful to have each of you as part of our family.

To our amazing Song Hill team—thank you for the countless hours you dedicate behind the scenes. Your care, pride, and attention to every detail ensure our horses always look their very best and receive the exceptional care they deserve. None of this would be possible without you.

From the farm to the racetrack, this journey is built on teamwork, trust, and a shared passion for the Thoroughbred.

Here’s to the friendships we’ve built, the memories we’ve made, and the horses that continue to bring us together. Thank you for another unforgettable evening—we’re excited for everything the year ahead has in store. 🐎✨

Step behind the scenes at Song Hill Thoroughbreds for a guided walking tour of our Thoroughbred farm. Guests will learn what it takes to develop a racehorse from start to finish — from mating and foaling, to raising young horses, training, and ultimately making it to the racetrack.

During the tour, you’ll walk the farm grounds, visit the barns, and meet our broodmares and foals while learning about daily life on a working Thoroughbred operation. Whether you’re a longtime racing fan or simply curious about the sport, this is a unique opportunityto experience the heart of horse racing up close.

Please note: this is a walking tour and will take place outdoors on the farm grounds. Comfortable footwear is recommended.

🏆 Winner at the Spa! 🏆

Congratulations to the Nielsen family on a fantastic victory with Tuning In in Race 2 at Saratoga Race Course! Winning first time out and breaking his maiden in style, Tuning In delivered a tremendous performance under a terrific ride from Edgard Zayas.

A huge congratulations to the Nielsen family and a big thank you to our incredible team whose hard work behind the scenes makes days like this possible.
