In a venture that could very well have ramifications on the Triple Crown, Churchill Downs and New York Racing Association on Monday announced the creation of a six-race series for 3-year-olds that will include the Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes.

The fabulous Donna Brothers is back with her Top 25 Favorite Experiences in Saratoga just in time for the track opening this weekend (with a little bonus intel)! Lots of goodies in there. If you have a favorite that you'd add to the list, drop it in the comments!

Some of these experiences revolve around the racetrack—from morning workouts to postrace dinners. Others have nothing to do with horse racing at all. Together, they capture what makes Saratoga Springs one of America's great summer destinations, or, as I like to call it, Adult Summer Camp.

As the racing world says goodbye to Aqueduct, we are taken back to April 12, 2003.

Our dream of a Kentucky Derby was already alive, but the Wood Memorial at Aqueduct gave us every reason to believe.

Funny Cide came into the race with something to prove. After getting bumped at the break, he dug in, battled all the way to the wire, and finished a gutsy second to Empire Maker.

He may not have won the Wood, but he left Aqueduct a legitimate Derby contender. Three weeks later, he made history as the only New York-bred ever to win the Kentucky Derby.

Thank you, Aqueduct, for being part of one of the greatest rides of our lives. We'll never forget you.
