Playa Grande, Costa Rica beach house trip has one room for available for first and second week. Here’s details for anyone interested and will be discounted to get spots filled. One person room $2200 and room share $2600($1300 each) includes daily surf lessons/coaching. 310 977-2260 for info or DM.

Costa Rica December and March trips avail. 5 bedroom beach house in Playa Grande, Costa Rica. In my 25th yr doing my beach house camp and always a great trip for surfers of all levels. Price includes daily coaching($900 value) and includes beach front house, ac and bathroom in each room, w great WiFi if you need to work, nighttime security, pool, and great relaxing getaway while taking your surfing to next level. Price includes, room in house(1-2 person depending if you want to share with friend to save money), lessons each. Price excludes- airfare into Liberia airport, surf rentals and food/beverages. Plenty of great restaurants walking distance and few nights week we can have a chef cook or cook ourselves(usually team decision) and we have car rental to get groceries etc. You can rent your own car if you like to venture off. The house can be viewed on Google Maps and is called Villa Olivia for Dec trip or Casa Mirage for March trip. Spots fill fast and deposit of $600 holds your room with balance due 60 days before trip. Cancellation policy- deposits can be forwarded to a different trip if you can’t make it and if you pay full balance I can refund if I can find a replacement to take the room. If no replacement can be found in short time I will put 75% of payment toward next trip and you will be responsible for 25% for next trip. It’s best I can do as short notice is tough to fill spots but try to work with clients best I can.

Surfing- (vocal tutorial)Learning and understanding surf conditions and how to keep improving when waves are bad at your home break. Organize and travel around with friends and do day trips if you can. Watch forecast and look at reports/wave cams and see where it looks better and less crowded. Surfing gets so much more fun when you have learned to read waves and cut left and right which inspires surfers to venture out. Surfing is the hardest sport because we deal with Mother Nature and elements from swell direction, tides, winds and crowds.

Pop up technique- great guide line for beginner to intermediate surfers who struggle with getting to their feet dropping in a wave. Hand position and coordination tip. I see how much better my clients go up to their feet and keep balance when we focus just on hand placement going up. This could be the problem for most if you struggle with keeping balance on going to your feet. Video yourself if you can and also it’s great idea just to catch a few whitewash with focusing on hand position and keeping knees and feet close together going into whitewash to get the feel. Stop worrying about balance and work on one motion going up. Once you come up focus on weight over front foot for balance and keep eyes up don’t look at your board -watch the beach it really helps as I’ve see from my clients just learning.

Learn to surf - here’s how I work with lil ones and today had Reese practicing sitting on board and learning how to properly turn it while sitting. Not easy to be this small and turn a softboard, but Reese has integrity and wanted to learn! Great day of fun!
