Let us remember today, in particular, that no one…..NO ONE AND NOTHING….can take away our power to love, to be kind, to offer grace, and to show up for what’s right, one day at a time, one person at a time.
Ship are not righted in their course with great sharp, violent turns of the wheel, but with incremental, but consistent shifts in the right direction.
Little by little, we arrive at our destination.
Dr. King had this wisdom, using peaceful protest and consistent action that stood in stark contrast to the powers at be.
He was a light in the darkness, never dimming or faltering, even under threats that eventually took his life.
But he lived his life knowing, that his efforts mattered for the world that would exist well past the expiration of his body.
He lived for a purpose. He acted for a purpose. He saw that his life played a role in a greater story, just like it is for all of us.
I hope that today, as we remember Dr King, and look into an unknown future, that we can follow his vision of love & brotherhood, recognizing the power of our own lives to make a difference, one person at a time, one moment at a time.
Thank you Dr. King🙏🏼
