Trainer Tip Tuesday: Romanian Deadlift (RDL)

The RDL isn’t about how low you can go...it’s about learning to hinge.

A great RDL builds strength where it matters most:

✅ Glutes
✅ Hamstrings
✅ Core stability
✅ Posterior chain strength that carries over into everyday life and other lifts.

A few coaching cues:
• Keep a soft bend in the knees.
• Push your hips back like you’re closing a car door.
• Keep your spine long and ribs stacked.
• Keep the weights close to your legs.
• Stop when you feel a good hamstring stretch—don’t chase the floor.

Remember: Great movement patterns build great results. Master the fundamentals, and everything else gets stronger.
