Based in Salida, Colorado, Badfish SUP is a partnership between shaper and designer Zack Hughes and whitewater park designer Mike Harvey. We make SUP boards for whitewater rivers, flatwater and the ocean, with a mountain flavor. Our boards are designed to be stable for beginners and ripable for experts.

American Whitewater has been working hard to pass legislation that would once and for all ensure safe and legal boating on rivers. Colorado has the worst legal landscape for access for boaters in the West. There is overwhelming public support - 84% of Colorado voters support clear laws that provide for floating and contact with the riverbed when needed for safety - and we need the state to introduce a bill to clear up murky laws around the public’s rights while floating on rivers that flow over private property. This lack of clarity has already put boaters in dangerous scenarios and without new policy is undoubtedly going to put folks in bad situations.
