Planning on heading to the Liberty Oak Splash Park at Hyde Park? Here are some park rules to keep in mind:
💦There is no staff on duty at the facility. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
💦The splash park is NOT reservable for parties or events.
💦Only flat-soled shoes are allowed.
💦Appropriate attire is required. No transparent swimsuits and those with diapers must wear a swim diaper covered with plastic or rubber pants underneath their swimmer.
💦Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, skates, strollers or any other type of wheeled vehicles are not allowed on the rubber surface.
💦Following the National Lightning Safety Institute guidelines, everyone must clear the park immediately and wait to resume water activities after 30 minutes of the last clap of thunder or lightning strike.

💦 Make a splash this summer with St. Joe Aquatics! The Aquatic Park is set open for the season this Sunday, May 31. The Liberty Oak Splash Park at Hyde Park is also now open for the season. Additionally, the new summer hours for the Thomas Eagleton Indoor Pool, located at Missouri Western, will begin on Monday, June 1. Registration is open for the 2026 St. Joseph Barracudas Swim Team! Participants must be between the ages of 5-18, and they must be able to swim the length of a 25-yard pool. Practices are on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings at Missouri Western from June 1 to July 10. Cost is $145 per swimmer. Learn more and register online at https://bit.ly/3YaKWUV
