15 DAYS UNTIL MUSTANGS OPENING DAY!

Today’s countdown features two people heavily involved in baseball around St. Joseph and the surrounding area. Up first is Truman from marekbaseballacademy. You’ll find Mustangs players all summer long down at the Marek Academy; including some former Mustangs players that serve as instructors. That includes Trevor McCollum. Trevor has a number of MINK League Championships on his resume from his time with the Mustangs. Trevor now calls St. Joe home and trains athletes at Mareks. Mustangs Opening Day is Wednesday, May 27th. We’ll have pregame sky divers, and all school staff can receive 2 free GA Tickets to the game, when we officially kick off the summer party we’ll be hosting each night at Phil Welch Stadium. In his last three games for Missouri Southern, the Lafayette High School alum has hit a home run in each game, including a walkoff HR in the bottom of the 10th against Fort Hays State.

Our 2026 Youth Softball Camp is led by UNI All-American Sammey Bunch, who we are grateful to have as an instructor here at MBA.

This camp will focus on all aspects of the game and is a great, low cost opportunity for athletes to gain knowledge from collegiate athletes in the off season.
