We set out this summer with one goal: have some fun playing rugby. We knew we wanted other schools to be part of this experience, so we created the Hawks. We were fortunate to be joined by players from Lakeshore_Rugby and Marian Knights Rugby during our first season. Winning a tournament was fun, but building bonds with other teams from around the state was even better. We found some new brothers who called themselves Kung Fu, bonded in combat with Grandville, and found fierce competitors in West Ottawa and Rockford, who humbled us with losses. We scored on teams and they scored on us. We got yellow cards. We took stupid selfies and made some friends. It was a great summer and we look forward to the next one. Michigan Youth Rugby
