We are excited to announce the details of this years “Teen Summer Camp”. This is always one our our favorite things we do at CFD. It’s awesome having the opportunity to work with the younger generation, teaching them the importance of health and fitness and teaching them how to move their bodies and weight correctly. I think I love it so much because it’s incredible to see the progress made from beginning of summer to end of summer. Each kid gains confidence in themselves and in their ability to do hard things. Learning to be confident and have correct technique in a weight room or workout environment is a lifelong skill and I love teaching it to young kids. This class is for the young athlete who needs to learn the barbell to get stronger for sports and to be prepared for a high school weight room, where there are lots of kids and not enough qualified coaches. This class is for the teen who is looking to stay active this summer, it’s for the teen looking for self confidence. It’s for those dealing w personal or family issues. For those that struggle with mental health, that could use an outlet and challenge themselves to learn to overcome hard things. Our bodies are incredible, when are active, sweat and workout, endorphins and hormones are released that help us in so many ways, especially teen kids. Teaching the importance of this to teens is something all adults should be thinking about and giving our kids opportunities to do so.
