Contrary to what it may seem, Jiu Jitsu does not encourage kids to be more violent. The discipline built in the gym gives them the confidence to control the situation; meaning to walk away when needed or de-escalate the situation and if necessary, knowing how to protect yourself physically and possibly protect the aggressor from further escalation.
