LADY LAKERS WIN A THRILLER! 🥎🔥
Talk about a team with HEART! Our RCMS Lady Lakers took down the Green County Dragons 9-8 last night in a total nail-biter!
Going into the game, we were already down our starting pitcher, but Kiera Gallagher stepped into the circle and was an absolute WARRIOR. She pitched all 7 innings, racking up 5 strikeouts and only 2 walks! Even after losing two more starters to minor injuries during the game, these girls never backed down. They fought for every out and every run! 👏
Game Highlights:
⭐ Aspen Stearns was on a big roll, hitting TWO triples and driving in 3 RBIs!
⭐ Hallie Knight and Brystol Smith both ended the night with 2 RBIs each!
⭐ Molly Clark and Kyla Pierce each added an RBI to the board.
⭐ Several others stepped up with huge hits to keep the pressure on!
The Big Finish:
In the bottom of the 6th, down by 2, Sydney D***s sparked the comeback by scoring on a hard-fought play by Brystol Smith.
Abby Jo Edmonds showed incredible patience, drawing a huge walk to keep the rally alive, and Kyla Pierce came through with the CLUTCH single to tie it up 8-8!
After a massive defensive stand in the 7th, Hallie Knight put the ball in play, forcing an error that allowed Izzy Withers to fly home for the WALK-OFF WIN! 🏃♀️💨
We are beyond proud of the grit and "never give up" attitude these girls showed tonight—especially our B-team players who stepped up to the plate when we needed them most. Way to go, Lakers!
