Timber Ridge is a 33 acre facility nestled in the foothills of the Laurel Mountains. Our small personalized facility and amenities make us one of the most attractive boarding facilities in the area. We have two large pastures (approximately 10 acres each) and two paddocks. All turnout areas are mostly flat. The outdoor arena is 200 x 90 feet with sand footing that holds a regulation size dressage arena. The indoor arena is 140 x 80 feet also with sand footing. The indoor arena has very bright lights for those night time or early morning rides. Both arenas are lettered for schooling purposes. We fully understand the importance of good footing and we groom our arenas regularly. We have an indoor shower stall for giving your horse the spa treatment. Our tack room is equipped with personal lockers with saddle and bridle racks. A security system is installed on the premise complete with fire detection and an alert system to local authorities. We currently have 22 stalls to house our equine celebrities. Stalls are 12 x 10 and have full size sliding wood doors. Stalls are matted for easy clean up and to provide your horse with a level floor for taking naps and relaxing. You may use a safe stall gate if you choose. We also have a heated viewing room for your comfort. The viewing room is equipped with a kitchen, microwave, refrigerator, and the all important heated bathroom. Hot water is available in the viewing room. Boarding

Used Neue Schule Transform Weymouth Bit - 5 inch - 12mm

On consignment - sells for #332 new - offered at $250

The Neue Schule Transform Weymouth Bit has a 7 cm Shank and is great for the horse that has an overactive mouth and not focused on the rein aids. This revolutionary new design has proven to be an excellent solution.

The mouthpiece traces a subtle convex arc which when the curb rein is employed rotates the Weymouth cheeks back at approximately 45. The curb chain is engaged at this point restricting further rotation and simultaneously the mouthpiece rotates forwards coming to rest vertically within the mouth. It does not roll forwards onto the thinner more sensitive area of the tongue. The Transform is also beneficial for the short smile (small distance from the corner of the lip to the muzzle) as it will sit further back in the mouth and this leaves more room for the bradoon (snaffle part of the double). This Weymouth is so comfortable that it deters the horse from drawing his tongue back in order to relieve pressure. As The Transform sits further back in the mouth there is usually insufficient room behind the mouthpiece to enable the horse to get his tongue over it. This is very useful if this evasion has become a confirmed habit many times exacerbated through tension.
