East Coast Slingshot Tournament

We did it again. I can still hear the laughter, the campfire stories, the sound of a distant "tink" or the smack of leather. I can feel the room go silent when a key shot is about to be released. I can see the headlights through the trees late into the night and a giant fireball down the hill. This year was one for the records, in many ways. For me, it was the hooks of friendship, sportsmanship, and fun digging deeper into my bones. Thank you to everyone who helped. This past weekend was not possible without those of you who sponsored the event, put so much into an amazing woods course, took the microphone and herded cats, set up, tore down, and volunteered. Thank you to East Huntingdon Sportsmen’s Association This event means so much to so many and you all give us the place to play and treat us so well. Graden and I want to personally thank you all. We love creating the field of dreams but it is the players and memories that are truly magical! Be well friends see you at the next one.

Here is our tentative schedule of events! This is subject to change at the discretion of the tournament directors. So far 86 people are coming to play, cant wait to see old friends and meet new ones. Thank you to all those who are volunteering, many hands make light work.

Wednesday May 27th
-Volunteers and team leaders start to show up.
-Finalize the woods course and kid’s woods course.
-Set up the speed shooting events
-Start setting up the practice range
-Set up the WSA range
-Set up the 25 yard event

Thursday May 28th
-Finalize and check all events in the AM
-Staff/Volunteer meeting at 11am
-Registration will open at noon
-Practice range opens ASAP

Friday May 29th
-Breakfast 7:30 am - 8:30 am
-Welcome/orientation and opportunity for questions at 9am.
-Tournament begins immediately after welcome/orientation.
-*Kids Knockdown 10-noon*
-Lunch 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
-*Blue Skeen speed shoot at noon. ($5 Per person)*
-*Amateur NSL Knockdown event 1-4*
-Dinner 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
-*Bracketed tic tac toe challenge 7:00 pm ($5 per person)*

Saturday May 30th
-Breakfast 7:30 am - 8:30 am
-*Pro NSL Knockdown begins at 10am*
-Lunch 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
-Trade table item turn in opens at 1pm
-*Head-to-head NSL Knockdown shoot begins at 3pm ($5 Per person)*
-Dinner 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
-Score cards due by 7pm
-*Trade table starts at 7pm*
-Awards at 8pm

Hoggy has started the count down, the National Slingshot League is ready to serve the community, the East Huntingdon Sportsmen’s Association has the food plan(see below), and so many are getting excited! This is going to be fun!
