A love letter to our community 🌹
109 players wore the Iron Rose FC crest in 2026.
They came to Roseville from across California, throughout the region, and from communities across the country. Different backgrounds, different journeys, different goals - but for one summer, they shared the same crest and became part of the same story.
Most training days, our teams were side by side. Young players taking their first steps into the pre-professional game. College athletes preparing for another season. Players chasing opportunities at the next level. Veterans and newcomers. Three teams, all at different stages of their journeys, but constantly pushing, challenging, supporting, and celebrating one another.
And somewhere along the way, many who arrived as strangers became teammates, friends, and family.
That's what we'll remember most.
Of course, there was plenty to celebrate on the field! Our WPSL First Team, in just its third season, finished second in the conference at 6-2-2. Three WPSLII players earned First Team appearances, including the youngest player to appear in the WPSL this season.
Our WPSLII squad, only in its second season, finished 3-3-2 while fielding the youngest team in the conference, with an average age of just 17. It was another season of proving that young players belong in these environments and that the pathway we're building is real.
And in just the second season of our men's program, the group finished second in the conference at 8-1-1, avenged its only regular-season loss to capture the West Regional Championship, traveled to Texas for the League for Clubs National Finals, and defeated Oklahoma United FC 3-2 in the National Semifinal to earn a place in the National Championship!
Those accomplishments matter. The wins matter. The trophies matter. But when we look back on 2026, we'll remember so much more.
We'll remember the friendships formed on training fields, the conversations after matches, the packed nights at West Park, the road trips, the laughs, the celebrations, the heartbreak, and all the little moments in between that made a summer that went by far too quickly feel so special.
At Iron Rose FC, we've always wanted to build something bigger than results. We want players to have a place where they can compete at a high-level while being supported in their development, health, wellness, and growth - as athletes and as people. We want to celebrate their successes, invest in their next steps, and be a small part of wherever their journey takes them.
Seeing young players move through that pathway, seeing players find new opportunities, and seeing three separate teams grow into one Iron Rose family is why we do this.
And none of it happens without the people who believe in this club:
To every player who trusted us with their summer, every coach and staff member who gave more hours than anyone will ever see, every volunteer who stepped in, every partner who invested in what we're building, every family who supported a player, and every fan who filled the stands, watched from afar, shared a post, wore the crest, or cheered for the Rose: THANK YOU.
Thank you for helping turn an idea into a community. Thank you for believing in the pathway we're building. Thank you for making Roseville feel like home to 109 players this summer.
