Hey Tigers! It's Jamboree time!!

For those of you who are new to football and cheer, this is a day designed with dual purpose. One is to certify all of the athletes and the other is to give the teams a series of short scrimmages to see what they are working with and give the kids and idea of what actual game play will be like. Football and cheer are both included. Mascots do not need to attend in an official capacity but are always welcome to come watch.

It can be a little confusing with all the different times, but we hope to have made this schedule as easy as possible to read. You will see there are three times noted for each level. You will need to have your child arrive on time so they can be certified, and they will need to stay with the team, at the field with the team until game time.

What to wear:

Football- arrive in game pants and slides (or regular shoes) for certification. They will then wear their full equipment and orange practice jerseys

Cheer- Grey RJT tank, black camp shorts, athletic or cheer shoes. Coaches will give instructions on hair by the end of the week.

Parents/Family- Orange and Black baby!! We will be setting up a tent by the shed this week to sell some Tigers merch if you need any!

Hey Tigers!!
Just wanted to put a reminder out there that is it imperative that your kids come to practice… even when it’s hot! Actually, especially when it’s hot!
Their games will fall on hot days. If they are not properly acclimated to being in pads, putting in work in the heat, they will be in a world of hurt come the first hot game day! If you think it’s hot on the grass, turf is much worse!

Practice is mandatory, even when it is hot!

We have a wet bulb thermometer at the practice field that gives extremely accurate temperatures in direct sunlight. If it exceeds the temperature threshold we will modify practice!

We know it’s hot today but we will not be reaching or exceeding the practice modification threshold so we will be having a normal practice. However, we have talked to all coaches and asked to give more frequent and longer water breaks and to utilize the shaded areas as best as possible. We are hoping to have our mister fan set up for a little reprieve as well. See you soon Tigers!’
