🦃🏹 THAT’S A WRAP ON SPRING TURKEY SEASON 2026! 🏹🦃

What an incredible season here at the Double Barrel Ranch! From opening morning gobbles to the final tagged-out hunters of the season, we were blessed with unforgettable hunts, beautiful sunrises, plenty of laughs, and memories that will last a lifetime. 🌅🔥

A huge THANK YOU to every hunter who traveled from near and far to share camp, chase gobblers, and become part of the Double Barrel Ranch family. Whether it was your first turkey or your fiftieth, we were honored to be a part of your adventure. 🤝🦃

This season brought roaring gobbles, tough late-season birds, youth hunters harvesting their first turkeys, family traditions carried on, and friendships strengthened around camp. That’s what turkey hunting is all about. ❤️🏕️

To all our guides, staff, friends, and supporters—thank you for the early mornings, long days, and hard work that make these hunts possible. 👏

🦃🔥 LAST CALL FOR THE BIRDMAN! 🔥🦃

Season 18 is officially in the books, and what a way to finish it! 💪🌾

Bobby came all the way from Alabama after already punching a tag in Oregon. He figured he’d give the Birdman a call and see if there was room for one more adventure before the curtain closed on turkey season. 📞🦃

The day started with plenty of challenges. Cattle pushed a flock out of the area 🐄➡️🦃, a gobbler hung up just 30 yards behind the blind 😤, and temperatures climbed to a scorching 86 degrees! ☀️🥵 The Birdman was melting, and the birds weren’t exactly thrilled about the heat either.

So it was time to change the game plan. 🎯

We slipped into a shady, marshy piece of ground 🌿💧 hoping the birds would be looking for some relief. Walking into the blind, we spotted the fan of a BIG gobbler just peeking over the edge of the marsh. 👀🪶

Bobby dropped to his belly and made a textbook stalk through the grass 🐍🌾. Once in position, the Birdman worked the calls and the hens fired right back! 🗣️🦃 The old tom couldn’t resist.

BOOM! 💥

One excellent shot later, Bobby had another beautiful bird on the ground! 🏆🦃

Through heat, hung-up gobblers, cattle problems, and plenty of turkey drama, we got it done. That’s turkey hunting for you🦃💥🤷‍♂️

Congratulations, Bobby! 👏🍻

And with that, the Birdman is signing off for another season. Season 18 ended the same way the others did… with a gobbler on the ground and a smile on our faces. 🦃❤️

🦃🔥 JUST WHEN WE THOUGHT THE SEASON WAS OVER… THE PHONE RANG 🔥🦃

Eric came out to cap off another stellar turkey season with the Birdman for his very first turkey hunt ever… and let’s just say he made it one to remember 😳💥

One shot. TWO gobblers.
First turkey hunt = first AND second turkey punched at the same time 🤯🦃🦃

Great birds, great shooting, and one heck of a way to start a turkey hunting addiction 😂👏

We had already done the handshakes, the congratulations, and figured the season was officially wrapped up for the Birdman… but then came a call from back east ☎️🌎 A hunter chasing birds in Oregon needed help finishing the job on a Washington gobbler. Next thing you know, the Birdman’s loading gear back up for ONE. MORE. HUNT. 😎🔥

No sleep till June around here 🦃💨

🦃✈️ Lisa and Dave flew all the way out from Virginia to meet up with family and chase some late season Spokane County gobblers here at Double Barrel Ranch! The crew saw an absolute pile of turkeys over the hunt, but these late season birds were educated, call-shy, and definitely made us work for every opportunity. 😅🌾

First morning was action-packed with birds everywhere, but sometimes late season toms just won’t fully commit. We kept switching things up, covering ground, changing tactics, and staying after them. 💪🦃

Then at 5:30 AM the next morning, it all came together. Lisa connected on an absolutely beautiful tom right off the roost to punch her VERY FIRST turkey tag! 🔥🦃 What a moment! Not long after, Dave followed suit and just like that the team was tagged out! 👊🏽

Late season hunting can humble you quick, but when it comes together it’s hard to beat. We had an awesome few days watching turkeys, deer, and dealing with the classic crazy Spokane spring weather… sunshine one minute, rainstorms the next. 🌦️🌧️☀️

Thanks again Lisa and Dave for making the trip out west to hunt with us at the Double Barrel Ranch! 🦃

Gueth flew in all the way from Louisiana to Mardi Gras with the Birdman and some Spokane County gobblers. ⚜️🌲

It was a quiet party most of the morning… until 11 jakes and one ole longbeard slipped in silent as ghosts around 11 o’clock. 👀🤫

Gueth stayed patient, let the flock separate, then BOOM 💥🥃 party’s over for one great gobbler.

Hayden came all the way from Arkansas to chase Merriams with the Birdman at the Double Barrel Ranch. Morning started off hot with birds hammering on the roost, but like they often do this time of year… once flydown hit, the woods went quiet.

After a long morning of staying patient and covering ground, things finally changed at 10:30 when 5 gobblers came strutting in looking for trouble. As you can see… one of them is headed back to Arkansas 🇺🇸🦃

First day was cold, wet, and the birds had lockjaw 🌧️🥶🦃 Slow action, soaked boots, and not much happening in the turkey woods. But that’s part of the game sometimes.

Day 2 rolled around and everything changed 😎🔥 The toms were fired up, gobbling hard, and the action finally turned on. Colten stayed cool under pressure and pulled off an absolute beautiful shot on his FIRST turkey! 🦃💥👏

Man… getting kids on their first BIRD here at the Double Barrel Ranch never gets old. Watching the nerves, excitement, and pure adrenaline when a gobbler finally commits is hands down some of the best hunting of the year 🙌🪶

These are the hunts we love most. Early mornings, crazy weather, fired-up gobblers, and making memories that’ll last forever 🔥🌲

🌧️🦃 TWO DOWN BY 6 A.M. 🦃🌧️

The Birdman and crew were punching tags before most alarms even went off 😴➡️🦃💥

A little rain here… a little thunder there… and two gobblers on the ground by 6 a.m. 🌦️⚡ One longbeard stretched out a solid 10.5” beard AND rocked a sweet double beard to boot.  

Still grinding hard with TWO WEEKS left of turkey season at the Double Barrel Ranch 💪🪶
