At Acima Jiu Jitsu, class etiquette matters because it creates a safe, respectful, and disciplined environment where everyone can learn and grow together. Respecting coaches and teammates, keeping a positive attitude, and following academy rules helps build trust on the mats, prevents injuries, and strengthens our team culture. Great technique is important, but strong character is what truly defines a martial artist.

Today was a big day for the team . We had 4 students step on the mats and represent. 3 brought home gold, and 1 came up just short of the podium.

I’m proud of every single one of them. Competition isn’t just about medals, it’s about showing up, testing yourself, and growing through the experience. That’s exactly what they did.

All the hard work, discipline, and time on the mats is paying off. Back to work on Monday 👊
