This is our initial class schedule, built from what we’ve learned over the past several years serving our Deliberate Fitness community.

As we get to know our Deliberate Pilates members, this schedule will continue to evolve.

If you don’t see a class time that works for you, let us know! We genuinely want your feedback.

The beauty of being a boutique studio is that we’re able to adapt. If there’s enough demand for a particular day or time, we’ll do everything we can to add it.

Our goal isn’t to create the biggest schedule. It’s to create the right schedule for our community.

Why is Deliberate Fitness opening Deliberate Pilates? It’s a fair question.

After more than 20 years in the fitness industry, I’ve become less interested in fitness trends and more interested in helping people move better.

Strength training remains the most powerful tool we have. It improves muscle mass, bone density, metabolic health, confidence, resilience, and quality of life. My belief in strength training has never been stronger.

So why Reformer Pilates?

Getting stronger is only part of the equation. People also need: mobility, stability, balance, coordination, and better body awareness. They need to move efficiently and confidently through everyday life. That’s where Pilates shines.

Deliberate Pilates wasn’t created because Pilates is trendy. It wasn’t created to replace strength training. And it certainly wasn’t created to water down what we do at Deliberate Fitness. It was created because the combination of intelligent strength training and intelligent movement training is incredibly powerful.

Strength training helps build the engine. Pilates helps improve how that engine moves. Together, they create a stronger, more capable, more resilient body.

When Cait and I began discussing what was next for Deliberate Fitness, we weren’t looking for another business. We were looking for another way to help people. Too many studios are combining strength training modalities and Pilates to create variety. While the hybrid classes might be challenging, they often lack intentional programming. Both are valuable, both deserve respect. Both practices are more effective when they are programmed separately. That’s why Deliberate Fitness and Deliberate Pilates will remain distinct experiences, working together to build a stronger, more mobile you!

Deliberate Pilates is the natural extension of everything we’ve believed from the beginning: thoughtful coaching, deliberate programming, and helping people build a body that supports the life they want to live.

We’re excited to bring that vision to Ringwood.

What makes reformer Pilates different?

One of the biggest misconceptions about Pilates is that it’s “just stretching.”

In reality, reformer Pilates is a form of resistance training.

Using springs, straps, a moving carriage, and your own body weight, the reformer creates a unique training experience that challenges strength, stability, coordination, balance, mobility, and control—all at the same time.

Unlike mat Pilates, the reformer provides adjustable resistance and support, making it easier to modify exercises for beginners while also creating a significant challenge for experienced clients and athletes.
