Winterfield's Martial Arts Center

Winterfield's Martial Arts Center Whatever your reason is for wanting to begin training in the martial arts, there is a student in my school who has been there.

Parents of students will decide to start their child in martial arts training for a variety of reasons: there are the young children who aren’t old enough to play a recreational sport and spend too much time in front of the iPad, computer, video game or TV all day, there are those with boundless amounts of energy and lack a constructive channel for those urges and may be terrorizing other siblings

, or there are the children who are the shy and quiet type and don’t feel comfortable competing in mainstream team sports. Every Blackbelt in my school is a Junior Instructor and has completed over 200 hours of in school personal mentorship, which means they must train incoming students. Earning your Blackbelt from Winterfield’s Martial Arts is a symbol of leadership, patience, empathy and most importantly the opportunity to give back. My Blackbelts have 6-7 plus years of personal experience in training and understand what its like to be new in the martial arts and how overwhelming it may feel. For this reason, Winterfield’s dojo fosters a community driven environment that makes every member, new and old, a part of the martial arts learning experience. My more experienced students and Junior Instructors welcome new students with open arms and always appreciate an opportunity to sharpen their communication and teaching skills, (always under my watchful eye of course) as I lead the class instruction. There are no GPA’s in my school, just look for the Blackbelt and you know that’s a leader.
