I’m back home from a trip of walking through old growth forests, swimming in glacial waters, boating across oceans and watching for whales, climbing steep mountains and slowly feeling back into the pace of the normal way of life- with the earth as a clock- no itinerary and no plans other than following what feels right in the moment.
Arriving home feels comforting and also heartbreaking in ways I’m having a hard time understanding.
So I’m thinking about how we connect with a place- environments as well as cities and homes. Among these places where are we more open, where are we more closed in.
Do you have a particular landscape or place that you connect with most deeply? How does connection to self change place to place?
“I will be creating more.” My motto for the last 6 weeks. So here I am, continuing that creation. I’m realizing I actually enjoy creating on here when there’s no agenda, no “reason” other than to create, with words, with photos, and with heartfelt feeling.
Tell me the place you feel most connected- mine is in the thick forest of trees🌲
