Just a friendly reminder to members with voting rights our election for Board of Directors is tomorrow 8/8 at 10 am in the pavilion at the restaurant.

We are currently doing updates to our PDK system so please be patient with the security office. As you come through the gate they will be asking for your card or pin number along with your drivers license so our system can be updated. Please have those items available when you come through the gate along with your handicap pass if you have one of those.

If you have a handicap pass it must be displayed on your dash viewable to our security employees (unless you have a handicap license plate) when coming through the gate.

Come camp out for the weekend bring a camper or a tent and ride some trails or jump in the pool we are an ATV and UTV friendly Campground.

If you're interested in just coming out for a day to ride some trails, daily ride is $10 per vehicle and $10 per rider. We are open all year.

WATCHING NEXT WEEK
MULTIPLE ROUNDS OF SEVERE WEATHER POSSIBLE!

A substantial heat dome is expected to develop across the central United States late this weekend and remain in place throughout much of the following week. This meteorological phenomenon could position the mid-Atlantic region, particularly Virginia, in a prime zone for severe weather. We may experience not just a single round of intense storms, but several days of storm activity beginning late Monday and continuing through midweek.

This weather scenario is commonly referred to as the “Ring of Fire.” It occurs when powerful storm complexes form along the northern perimeter of the heat dome. These complexes, known as "ridge riders," typically move southeastward, bringing with them the potential for significant weather disturbances.

As a consequence of this setup, we can anticipate that mesoscale thunderstorm complexes will likely develop repeatedly to our northwest. These storms could then advance into our area, generating conditions favorable for damaging wind events. Residents should remain vigilant and stay informed about the evolving lol weather forecast as we head into this potentially dangerous period of storm activity. It's important to prepare for rapidly changing weather conditions and to have a safety plan in place.

I just wanted to inform everyone that we have a little change in the store hours. We are now closing the store at 4 on Thursdays until further notice. But we are open until 8 again on Sundays. Thank you and everyone have a great day.
