Our member has been putting in the work, leveling up, and showing up for herself every single day and the hard work has paid off! We are so proud of you, Karla!
Read her story below and prepare yourself for the tears and goosebumps! ⬇️

On December 30th, 2022, I almost didn’t walk through those doors. I sat in my car, staring at the building, convincing myself I would only embarrass myself if I went in. I felt completely intimidated.
A month earlier, I had lost my mom to a rare terminal cancer that had taken over our lives for two years. During that time, I devoted everything to her: doctor appointments, chemotherapy, and ultimately hospice, all while also raising a toddler and a newborn. I had completely put myself on the back burner.
My mom knew that. Some of her last words to me were: “Don’t let yourself go. Stay active. Be the best, healthiest version of yourself.”
So as I sat in that parking lot, going back and forth in my head, I kept replaying her words. Over and over again, reminding myself that I could do it.
Finally, I walked in during an evening camp. Within seconds, I heard the trainer call out, “One more rep, Veronica!”
I froze.
Veronica was my mom’s name.
A coincidence? I don’t think so. I believe that was her way of telling me I was exactly where I was meant to be.
That first workout was hard. It was humbling. But it was also empowering. No one judged me. No one expected perfection. Just a room full of people encouraging each other and handing out high fives (which definitely took me a while to get used to!).
