Beautiful views, great food, and even better company. ☀️🌊🍤😉

Travel has a way of slowing you down just enough to reflect. It reminds you how far you’ve come, how much you’ve grown, and how much there still is to experience in life.

I’m leaving this trip grateful, refreshed, and excited for what’s next.

Now it’s time to get back home, get focused, and get back to building. 🚀💪🏽

Today I celebrate 40 years around the ☀️

I used to think I’d dread turning 40. But honestly, when I reflect on everything I’ve been through, how far I’ve come, and all that I’ve accomplished along the way, I feel nothing but gratitude.

The setbacks taught me resilience. The wins taught me confidence. The losses taught me perspective. And the journey taught me who I am.

Today, I don’t feel old. I feel prepared.

Prepared for new opportunities, new challenges, new experiences, and new chapters.

I walk into 40 with optimism, purpose, and excitement for what’s ahead.

I thought big…

Then God said, “No… bigger.” 🙏🏽

Here’s to the next chapter. Let’s work. 💪🏽

We acquired this property in Brewerytown, Philadelphia for just $1 with one mission in mind: to create quality, deed-restricted affordable housing and help more families achieve the dream of homeownership. 🏡

Too often people talk about affordable housing. We’re out here building it. 💪🏽🏡

Every window installed. Every wall framed. Every step forward is another step toward revitalizing our communities and creating opportunities where they’re needed most.

The work isn’t always easy, but the mission is worth it.

🚨 Philadelphia... we need to talk.

Over the last 6 months, I’ve had conversation after conversation with small business owners, landlords, contractors, and developers who are all saying the same thing:

“I’m leaving Philly.”

Not because they don’t love the city. Not because they don’t want to invest here.

Because they feel like they can no longer afford to operate here. 🤷🏽‍♂️

At some point, we have to ask ourselves a serious question:

Are we creating policies that help communities... or are we creating an environment where only the biggest corporations can survive? 🏢

The small players matter.The local business owners matter.The neighborhood investors matter.The mom-and-pop operators matter.

Because when they leave, they take jobs, investment, housing, and opportunity with them. 📉

And before anyone says, “Good, let the big companies handle it”... be careful what you wish for. Monopoly isn’t competition. 😅

Philadelphia is one of the greatest cities in America, but if we want it to stay that way, we need to make sure the little guy still has a seat at the table.

🚧 Real estate hits different when the mission is bigger than the money. 💭🏘️

This past weekend was special. After spending the last 5 months training and mentoring the next level of affordable housing developers from communities all across the country, we finally had the opportunity to bring everybody together in one room for the Buy Back The Block Next Level Program. 🤝🏽🔥

Seeing people from different cities, backgrounds, and experiences connected by one mission — ownership, affordable housing, community impact, and financial freedom — was powerful. The energy in the room, the networking, the conversations, and the willingness to learn reminded me why I started this movement in the first place.

Too many people think real estate is only about flipping houses or chasing money. What we’re building is deeper than that. We’re teaching people how to develop communities responsibly, create affordable housing opportunities, build generational wealth, and become real stakeholders in the neighborhoods they come from. 🏗️📈

One of the most rewarding parts was watching people realize that they are capable of doing this too. Not just investors… but future developers, builders, owners, and leaders who can go back into their communities and create real change. 💪🏽

Grateful for everybody who showed up, stayed committed these last few months, asked questions, connected, and poured into the experience. This is bigger than a class. Bigger than a challenge. It’s a movement. Forward only. 🙏🏽🔥
