“Jay has the incredible gift of helping you to truly see yourself in a profound, beautiful, and life-giving way. After doing the hard work of digging deep inside yourself — evaluating your highs and lows, following the breadcrumbs of your passions, and learning to recognize what drains you and what lights you up inside — he holds up a mirror and shows you an image of yourself that is inspiring. I walked out of his office feeling so seen and so proud of who I am.

Throughout the process, Jay affirmed my strengths, helped me to identify my core values and life-giving talents, and led me to pinpoint my innate wiring. Parts of me that I thought were quirks or what others may have even seen as flaws, he helped me to see that they were actually my deepest gifts and talents. It is empowering to know yourself on a deeper level and Jay definitely helps you do that!

After my time with Jay I had clarity on ways to pursue my passions, identify opportunities and situations that honor or violate my core values, pursue a job that uses my talents and builds off of my innate wiring, and lean into things that are important to me. Jay has the ability to ask insightful questions, to see underlying themes that you didn’t see yourself, and to develop your understanding of how you bring life and flourishing to yourself and to those around you. He is a gift to countless people.”

Kali sees it!

She intuitively sees the unique value each individual person could bring. She humbly and respectfully meets people where they are, but she cares too much to leave them there; so she curates experiences and thoughtfully optimizes opportunities that invite or challenge them to live to their full potential.

Why? To stimulate growth - personal growth, mutual growth, communal growth!

And to pursue alignment - continuously balancing all the diverse perspectives, motivations, and approaches to help everyone achieve the highest common good…the shared goal of making the world better, healthier, more equitable.

Then, in the context of authentic community, Kali open-mindedly explores and invites others to pursue intentional impact.

And intentional impact, well, that’s what Kali is all about!

For her,
Intentional Impact is being
consistently mindful
and respectful of
the things
that allow for
and sustain life.

So you can see how Kali would end our two days by announcing, “I exist to mindfully stimulate intentional impact by pursuing alignment through open-minded exploration!”

And you can see how much better the world is with Kali in it and how much better it’s gonna get as she lives more and more intentionally into her purpose!

Last year I was invited to participate in and facilitate portions of a CEO Retreat in Kansas. I was there by invitation of the host/sponsor, and I’d met a handful of the CEO’s at other conferences or retreats I’d spoken at; but I didn’t really know anyone well. I was the lone outsider - the one person not part of their industry, so I was a little surprised when a group of them invited me to join them at Chicken N Pickle one evening.

I couldn’t go immediately, but promised I’d join them later for a drink. And showing up late was maybe the best thing that could’ve happened to me that night, because it meant there was only one seat left at the long table the group was sharing and that seat was directly across from Amanda Otto.

Immediately, Amanda made me feel like the most important person at the table (while making everyone else feel the same). Her LOVING PRESENCE whispers, “You have value. You deserve happiness. I am so glad you’re here!” Without leaving other conversations behind or turning her back on anyone else, Amanda began ACTIVELY LISTENING and THOUGHTFULLY CONNECTING to me, making me feel like I was someone she genuinely wanted to know and understand.

She created a CALM SPACE for INNATE CONNECTION. She was so completely present - listening, learning, supporting, encouraging. And somewhere in the midst of that conversation (or maybe it was the next day during my presentation), she decided that I could help her discover and take the next right step into her own NATURAL AUTONOMY.

She asked a lot of questions about the work I do, specifically the 2-day iLEAD process, and ultimately decided it might help her navigate her own path and confidently guide her team and family into the path that innately and organically fits them. She did her iLEAD earlier this week, and we had the BEST TIME TOGETHER finding vocabulary for who she is and what she does so effortlessly. And from that we identified her purpose…why Amanda is on the planet…

AMANDA EXISTS TO RESPECTFULLY CREATE CALM SPACES THAT ACTIVELY SUPPORT NATURAL AUTONOMY!

What a beautiful reason to be alive! What a privilege to know her! What a gift to be known by her!

C O U R A G E

That’s what it takes to lead at a high level, and that’s what was on display this week as Jillian and I worked through another phase of our strategic collaboration.

Courage to fiercely advocate for kids in Southwest Louisiana.

Courage to draw a line in the sand and refuse federal dollars that would require her to stop openly supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Courage to make short term sacrifices for long term gains.

Courage to make the unpopular decisions and have the hard conversations.

Courage to hold people accountable.

Courage to challenge people to live up to their potential.

Courage to create a culture of excellence.

Courage to take an honest look in the mirror.

Courage to lead by example.

Courage to take a selfie after two loooong (sometimes emotional) days of strategic collaboration 😂

“Leaving my session with Jay, I have a completely new perspective on life. Jay has a gift for taking the parts of yourself you think are your worst — and showing you they’re actually your innate design. What I once felt shame around, I now recognize as strength. What I thought I had to fix, I now understand doesn’t need to change at all.

The work is hard. You get out of this experience exactly what you put into it, and I can honestly say I gave it my all — and Jay gives just as much. What we discovered is that the confidence I didn’t think I had has been inside me the whole time. I just had to be brave enough to live from it. I cannot say enough how healing this time was.

This is a framework I’ll carry forward in both my career and my personal life. I have vision, I have purpose, and I’m more determined than ever to live inside my values and my strengths. When we aren’t using our life-giving talents, we take something away not only from ourselves but from everyone around us. We all deserve to build a life that uses what we were designed for.

What a gift this experience was. I’m forever grateful.”

“I’ve had the chance to work with Jay both individually and with teams, and he brings the same thing every time. An incredible ability to make people feel safe enough to be honest. That mattered enormously when he facilitated our leadership team retreat.

We’re navigating a leadership transition right now, and rather than glossing over the hard parts, Jay drew them out. He helped each person put words to their concerns, name what they care about, and think clearly about how to move through change without letting go of what makes our culture ours. He has an intuitive sense for what a room needs and earns trust almost immediately.

Every time I work with him, I leave a little more grateful than the last.”

I first met Kristin when she was in high school, and even then, it was obvious to me just how significant a mark she was going to make on the world. She was - like all teenagers - trying to understand how all the parts of her fit together…how her big brain and even bigger heart could coexist. But from my perspective, it was so obvious…so beautiful…so worth nurturing, protecting, and investing in!

I could see the fire that burned inside her. I could feel her fierce sensitivity. Her deep thinking…her thirst for knowledge…her desire to explore diverse perspectives were palpable. And her internal ache for wrongs to be righted…her passionate pursuit of justice…her need to be personally invested in bringing wholeness and healing - though they felt too big for her tiny frame at the time - I could see with absolute clarity that when she learned to harness and channel them they’d explode out of her, covering a desert of injustice with the fresh water of love and healing!

And to watch that happen for her and through her over the last twenty years has been so, so inspiring…so, so satisfying! So you can only imagine my joy as I sat with her, facilitating her iLEAD, seeing her gain vocabulary for and embracing the beauty of who she is and how she’s wired.

I love how she said it as our day wound to a close. She said…

“I exist to fiercely support compassionate justice through open-minded learning and anchored safety!”

“I came to Jay at a point when I was feeling stretched thin and unsure how to find my way back to feeling like myself. From our very first conversation, it was clear Jay wasn’t going to hand me a generic playbook. Instead, he took the time to really understand my life, the pressures I was carrying professionally, personally, and within my family, and helped me see patterns I’d been too tired to notice on my own.

What made the work so effective was Jay’s ability to build a framework that actually fit me. We organized things around a few core pillars, and within each one, Jay helped me identify small, sustainable practices rather than overwhelming overhauls. He has a gift for asking the one question that reframes everything, and for withholding judgment even when I was at my most frustrated or stuck.

This wasn’t a quick fix, and Jay never treated it like one. The habits and self-awareness I built during our sessions have stayed with me well beyond our formal work together. I find myself returning to the frameworks he taught me almost daily. If you’re feeling stretched too thin and searching for a coach who will meet you exactly where you are, I can’t recommend Jay highly enough. He helped me build a genuinely more sustainable way of living and working.”

“I”d heard amazing things about Hayah Consulting’s iLead experience, and it more than lived up to my notions.

I came in with real questions about where I’d been, where I am, and where I can head in life. Jay has a natural gift for discernment and intentionality, and his process of laying out who you are, how you work, and how you lead was both refreshing and affirming.

I left with a clear sense of my strengths, confidence to lead with them and a “life map” to keep in my glovebox.

My honest advice... if you’re ready to do the work, put yourself out there, and think out loud with Jay, you’ll leave with a new lease on life.”

“Deep Realness” - That’s what you feel…that’s what you experience…when you sit and talk with Rachel. It’s not the first impression you get, but it is the lasting one.

The first impression is BIG ENERGY! But her energy isn’t overpowering or overwhelming, it’s refreshing and infectious! Rachel’s fun! She’s happy! She’s driven! She’s passionate! She bounces - LITERALLY BOUNCES! - into your life, igniting an abundance of positivity, hope, and belief in you and everyone around you!

And that’s because of her deep realness - her ability and willingness to be fully and completely herself - messes, mistakes, and all - in a way that inspires others to be equally authentic to themselves.

Rachel’s so much more than motion…and energy…and a gigantic smile. She’s also deep…and thoughtful…and fiercely loyal! She channels her energy and chases alignment for herself and others, making decisive connections and challenging beliefs all along the way.

She changes the way people look at themselves and the chaos swirling around them. Her belief in them and her ability to bring peace and calm to the storm changes the course of people’s lives!

So, it’s not surprising that, at the end of our two days together, Rachel was able to confidently (and tearfully) say, “I exist to energetically chase deep realness with thoughtful, decisive, protective loyalty!”
