It's opening weekend!

A hint of fall is in the air, we have hunters in camp and we are excited for the season ahead.

Meet Lucky! He is the senior of the bunch and has been everywhere and done everything. We’ve had him since he was a 4 year old. One way people remember his name is that he has a 3 leaf shamrock as a brand. In his elder years, he has become on of our go to horses for kids and they love him!

Thanks for all the years Lucky! Retirement is just around the corner….

This is Montana.

Wildflowers on the summit. Blue sky and clouds stretching in every direction. The full pack string on top of Wallace Pass with nothing but open country ahead. Postcards from Camp.

The best dishwashing station in Montana happens to be outdoors. A frog that wandered into camp and made himself at home. Mountain goats spotted from the top of Wallace Pass. The pack string winding its way into Grizzly Creek. And a log so full of saddles, pack saddles, and saddle pads it could tell the whole story of a week's work on its own.

Loving every moment of these Montana summer days.

Horses grazing down in Grizzly Meadow. A waterfall tucked into the timber. Wildflowers as far as you can see. Riders winding along the trail. Camp is set for summer 2026. We rode in and up Wallace Pass mid-July with no snow slowing us down, wildflowers thick the whole way, and over a dozen mountain goats waiting on the ride out.

Tents are up. Cook tent is stocked. Grizzly Creek Camp has already had its first guests of the season and is waiting on the rest!
